IMHO he should not have walked. He can not stay when the a wrong decision goes against him. So he should not walk when it goes in his favor.
exactly.I'm so against this walking thing

Have seen him walking a few times... the one important game I remember is Test match against Pak. He gloved the ball from Akhtar down the leg and walked even though umpire didn't give him out. That was the Test in which Dhoni scored 148 and I believe it was one of the first few Tests that he played. The series was when India toured Pak in 2006 where Pathan took a hattrick. But he shouldn't have walked. These decisions even out at the end and also now he would be expected to walk everytime else risk being called a hypocrite who picks his games to walk. Let umpire make the decisions and no need to give yourself out as he has already got so many wrong decisions, especially in Aus and when Bucknor used to umpire.

Walking or not walking is at the person's discretion. HE has not taken an oath on the geeta and say that he would always walk or he would not walk. It is his choice for heaven's sake. If he feels its good enough to walk then he would else he would not. We should not be reading too much into this.

tendulkar should be FINED for walking. seriously, whats the deal with walking?? the umpire GETS PAID TO MAKE DECISIONS on the field. let the umpire do his job. you dont see umpires giving tips to the batsmen on how to play a particular bowler, do you. walking is a load of crap

UDRS and yesterday Ponting decision was the reason. He did right thing. You guys should appreciate it. There was some sound in the replays also but it wasn't much clear. If WI had reviewed and umpire had given it out. That would be embarrassing! He got out with respect unlike Ponting.

no sir' date='It was a drawn game on a road.remember Dhoni got a ton[/quote'] Looks like I was wrong on both counts. The test was a draw and the one he walked was not the finals But I still think his walking depends on his mood more than the match situation

Today he walked prolly bcoz its a dead rubber... on another note, glad that he's out cheaply. Fans will get a chance to admire other players too n its doesnt hurt india's chances either....infact enhances them if someone else scores a TON....
:adore: :adore: seems like you are following srtfanticssuck's footsteps in hating Goddy.
