King Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Tendulkar is no walker but the last time I remember him walking is against Pakistan in one of the test matches in Pakistan. The irony is that Moin Khan said he was afraid to face Akthar so he walked :hysterical: Sanjay Manraker in the commentary also sounded like Tendulkar was not up for a challenge that day so he walked. Apparently the ball had touched the glove then but the glove was off the bat. In such cases it is not out but then batsman that has just gloved wouldn't have a clue whether the glove was on the handle or off it. Anyways he walked and that made a lot of noise.
pensionplan Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 :adore: :adore: seems like you are following srtfanticssuck's footsteps in hating Goddy. So you are basically saying others to not follow your footsteps with regards to your Goddy. okay.

Yup, Tendulkar is so afraid of facing the likes of Akhtar that he still wants to open the innings and is still making the runs consistently. We all saw what he did to Akhtar in 2003 wrld cup and I know whom to trust more - Tendulkar or Moin Khan. And we have all seen Tendulkar get hit on the nose by Waqar Younus as a 16 year old boy and continue to bat on. Since you didn't see that dismissal let me tell you... Tendulkar got a short delivery and tried to evade the ball but he gloved it. He clearly looked out and even the replays were inconclusive regarding when Tendulkar's hand came off the handle. It was simply speculation that the glove MAY have been off the bat handle but it was never conclusively proved. Tendulkar knew that he had clearly gloved it and must have known the glove was on the handle and thus walked.

And the resident experts also joined the bandwagon doing their regular SRT bashing with due diligence :two_thumbs_up:

PakSwinger Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 well...he should not have walked..its a cruicial game...but he is at a different level...he believes in honest cricket...but its bad if you are the only one believing in it...gonna hurt your team...i bet he wouldn't budge against pakistan in the semi final :winky:
goose Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 again, i don't think the umpire was going to give him out.

fineleg Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Can he now be request to STOP WALKING in remaining 2 matches? After that he can WALK as much as he likes.. i hope gary kirsten can talk to him and beg that he should not walk in next 2 matches. dhoni cannot say it, since captain cool walks for LBWs also  Let the umpires and UDRS be used. Pls, pls dont walk.
Show_stopper Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 He has walked many times but there are times when he hasn't. Everyone remembers him walking at THAT Sharjah match v/s Aus back in 1998. To cite an example when he hasn't walked- he didn't do it in VB series league game against Aus in 2008 when we were chasing 140 odd.
Anakin Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 According to Mr. Super Cricketer Moin Khan said SRT was feeling afraid of super phast bowler Tait as well.
Raghav_12 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I think he should stop this walking thing. Is he going to stay at crease if tomorrow umpire gives him out when he is not? Umpires are there to do the job and let then decide..
