zen Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Some good news for Paki fans, in the previous two WC played in the sub-con: 1987 - Ind lost to Eng in the semis 1996 - Ind lost to SL in the semis Therefore, Ind hasn't had great luck in the semis when played in the sub-con Now some good news for the Indian fans: What better team to play than Pak in the world cup to get Ind win the semis in WC in India! :icflove: Who knows Pak only got to the semis to help Ind get through to the final and win the world cup! :yay:

I think need to drop one spinner and see what happens.

We're peaking at the right time and Raina's inclusion has brought a new energy to the team.

It is the Mohali track that bothers me.

Zaheer is going to grab two quick wickets at his starting spell which will be brief. He will the proceed to dismantle the middle order with the old ball. On the other end Harbhajan and Ashwin will have already spun an impossible web around Pakistan...Bottom line is, if your batting clicks...this match is ours.

Pak will bowl close to 25 overs of spin bowling and there is no bigger destroyer of the slow phuddu type that Pak has like Yusuf Pathan. I have rarely ever seen him get out without dismantling spinners he faces. IMO he must play ...but how ? Raina is definitely nerves of steel and a great finisher. If we have to go by horses for courses, do you think Dhoni must " rest" Kohili and play Pathan instead. Kohli has arguably done no wrong....just that the kind of attack Pak has and what Yusuf Pathan has been doing to such attacks...I would be tempted to play Yusuf Pathan for Kohli. Even if Yousuf Pathan plays only 5 overs, he can totally swing the match in India's favour even in 5 overs.
