Cricket_Guru Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I am tired oh the hype man, just do the toss already. 2 long days left ergggggggggh
apuk79 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Pakistan are a weak team - Analysis Pakistan are a weak team. It must be obvious even to their own supporters that their players perform above their natural ability but do not have natural talent. So lets go through their players and easy to spot their flaws which India must exploit. Akmal - A very poor wicketkeeper and 1 dimensional player. Can only play cross bat shots and his record is poor in 1 day cricket. Any quality player should dispatch him quickly. Hafeez - Same goes for him. 1 dimensional. Unable to keep his place in the team. Suspect action and a poor bowler. Does not turn it much. Batsmen are not going to lose sleep over him. His batting again is poor. His record is poor. Shafiq - Untested under pressure weak outside the off stump. Shown no evidence of being able to bat against quality spin. Younis - Again very slow for 1 day player. Poor strike rate. Can tie him down easily and tends to play away from his body to be caught in the slips. Bowlers should squeeze him until he loses patience. Misbah - One day record again very patchy. Can hit over the top but again gets out easily when runs dry up. Overall record very poor. U Akmal - Unpredictable player. The one batsmen with raw ability but with lack patience his record is not good. Has all the shots but a good bowler can set the field to get rid of him. Razzaq - Seems well past it these days. Bowls help yourself balls repeatedly. His batting too seems restricted. Liable to hit it up into the air easily. Afridi - Seems to have forgotten how to bat with more wickets than runs in this tournament! India should play him like a kumble he does not turn the ball much. Just play straight. Other teams have treated him with too much respect when they should have hit him out the attack. Batting not an issue anymore. Gul - A dangerous bowler. The one true star in their attack. India should be cautious and not look for big shots against him aka Chris Gayle when there are easy pickings elsewhere. Riaz - A poor mans Wasim akram. Bowls short and wide repeatedly. A bowler the batsmen should look to dominate. Ajmal - A poor mans Bhaji. Bowls with a very suspect action ?illegal. Should be hit over the top and straight. Does not turn the ball much. Can be milked for 6+ runs per over easily. Look at how Hussey destroyed him in last t20 WC taking him for 15+ runs per over. Indian left handers should cash in against him. I feel above analysis is very fair. :hatsoff:
rainy day Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Yep...these same weak players ( Akthar, Younis, Afridi ) whopped your ass the last time they were in Mohali.
satyam1729 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Yep...these same weak players ( Akthar' date=' Younis, Afridi ) whopped your ass the last time they were in Mohali.[/quote'] ICC ranking IND-2 PAK-6. :haha::haha:

glogirl Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 do not underestimate pak team. umar gul could be leathal.
Karan114 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Yep...these same weak players ( Akthar' date=' Younis, Afridi ) whopped your ass the last time they were in Mohali.[/quote'] True...the mighty Pakistan will thrash India on Wednesday...we stand no chance against the cornered tigers sadly...Pakistan ftw, India out of the World Cup :((
apuk79 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 If Pak could keep their nails of the ball and their hands out of other peoples bank accounts they may even be able to compete with afghanistan soon!!! :two_thumbs_up:
apuk79 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 The umpires will be watching for gul tampering thats how he gets his reverse! They showed it on sky sports doing it against england last summer! Complete cheat he is.
Cricket_Guru Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 if they play like tigers, i dont mind if they win or lose on wednesday. but seriously, you people are giving us no respect or atleast credit to some player such as umar akma, afridi and ajmal alongside gul, which can come back and haunt you...
Cricket_Guru Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 The umpires will be watching for gul tampering thats how he gets his reverse! They showed it on sky sports doing it against england last summer! Complete cheat he is. haha, if he did it then even close to any kind of tampering ICC would have banned him by now. :--D seriously, apuk, teri attitude is dangerous :yay:
ganeshran Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 if they play like tigers, i dont mind if they win or lose on wednesday. but seriously, you people are giving us no respect or atleast credit to some player such as umar akma, afridi and ajmal alongside gul, which can come back and haunt you... The players to watch out in Pakistani team are Misbah, YK and Umar Gul. Others are rythym players, if they get a good start they will carry it on till the end, but if they get bad starts, they simply collapse
donkey Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Real danger is younis of misbah, other batsmen are prone to brain farts after reaching double digits. I was little afraid Shehzad might emulate Kohli in this world cup but he is not even the squad anymore. Hopefully shoaib will get his one last farewell game, wahab riaz is a mean hitter.
ShahidAfridi Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 India are a weak team - analysis They are very lucky to reach the semis of the world cup. 1. Virender Sehwag - Lucky batsmen, flat footed and guls movement will leave him in tatters. 2. Sachin Tendulkar - Good batsmen 3. Ghambir - Let him run :haha: 4. Kohli - Youngster and Ajmal and Afridi will be too much for his defence. 5. Yuvraj Singh - He will struggle with good pace and movement, Gul will get ripped straight into him. 6. MS Dhoni - He has been in poor form and his lucky first year is over. 7. Suresh Raina - I like to bounce :haha: 8.. Harby Singh - This is cricket, not darts 9.. Zaheer Khan - Good Bowler 10. Munaf Patel - 80 MPH , no swing, no movement. :--D 11. Ashwin - IPL star, doesn't spin / no variety. Only Zaheer Khan and Tendulkar are good players, the rest will be destroyed
mohd_tariq Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Who the hell thinks Pakistan are good players of spin? Seriously apart from Younis, Pak batsmen are not good players of spin really. ~That being said Harbhajan needs to do a much better job. Yes I think the pakistanis do not play spin confidently. I would say remove Munaf Patel and put Pathan in. Kya hoga worse come worse they will hit Pathan for 50 in his 6 0vers but may loose a bunch of wickets too. But if Yusuf pathans huge strokes connect on his day(there probably wont be need for Pathan to even come to crease in first place) the Pakistani will not even wait for the flight back home. They start the jog home midway through the game and hope to catch an auto on the way.
