Sir john Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 swann is a a over-hyped player. to his supporter :finger:
rajmarie Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Strauss was made captain when he was also 32, so what's the problem with Swann. And he isn't good spinner. Yeah right. :cantstop: Agree with you on Morgan that he can also be the option. Morgan is Irish...he will not be made captain. Swann is a good captain...but will be regular in the team.
WC2011INDIA Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Nothing to lose if he becomes captain. He is young, with proper mentor he can definitely do wonders for his team.
WC2011INDIA Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Morgan is Irish...he will not be made captain. Swann is a good captain...but will be regular in the team. Swann will be a terrible captain. He lost his cool in the Bangladesh match when things were not going his way. Surprisingly, he remained calm against Sri Lanka. Still Broad will be best choice. Young, energetic, not losing completely under pressure....

We have seen Pointing lost his cool so many times...& yet he stayed as captain. Still IMO Swann is better bet then Broad.

kooljatt Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 There is nothing wrong with Strauss. He is a great batsman and a good man and leader who has the respect of everyone. They should stick with him. :dito:

Cricket Tragic Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 There is nothing wrong with Strauss. He is a great batsman and a good man and leader who has the respect of everyone. They should stick with him. They will if he continues to play but the talk is that he will retire from ODIs.
singhprakash72 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I believe England never gave the respect it should have for this world cup ...playing forever in Aus..returning a week before WC begins is not right kind of preparation. They would have still not won the WC still but at least deserved SF slot.At the moment Andrew Strauss is still the best choice...Broad is still not up to those standard..frankly he is over rated by English Media.

gaurav92 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Strauss is a decent captain. He has done alright. But if you have guys like Trott, Anderson and Broad in your side, you can't blame the captain for losing :P
