To me it could have been anyone of miscalibration' date= purposeful human error on the part of person manning the udrs system , a bug in the system or the range of uncertainty of the system there are a couple things hopefully icc has controlled for udrs 1> who mans the system , basically this is should be a neutral person 2> Who calibrates the cameras.. hopefully it is a neutral party.. Some of my friends were joking that Bangalore won us the match by bugging the software..
How can a human introduce an error to his liking in the system to generate desired results (i.e not out) in such a short period of time (the time between when the descision was reviewed and overturned)? You mean to say that within 2 minutes the progammer would be able to input manual con-ordiantes which shows where the ball is pitching right but the trajectory wrong? Why would such a manual over-ride be present in a muliti-million project like H/E who are only in this to earn profit? H/E is a technology which has to survive only based on its accuracy and not whether it pleases BCCI and will defnitely not be person dependent. So in light of this does your theory even make sense to you? Human beings are gifted with a brain and common sense. At least make use of them without coming up with wild theories at every opportunity. Unless you are a microsoft tech with a personal Bill Gates signed certificate. In which case your post makes total sense

btw most of us here using the term "UDRS" for almost every related thing, I hope we are discussing about any possible flaw in "hawk-eye predictor" and not in the "UDRS"...

Well, YES... it is possible... I never mean to say they are using such thing but it can definitely be possible and even they can provide end users an easy/quick to use interface but Again I am sure they can’t even think to use such option in this technology... so let’s not even think this way... but the other possibility: level of accuracy, YES I think it can never be guaranteed 100% so only 1 degree error in Sachin’s wicket can end in hitting or missing the stump…

That review decision would not have got anywhere near the attention it's got were the player not Tendulkar. His feats have become so gargantuan that even normally sensible folk can scarcely believe he's not getting some kind of help. It was well known before today that the UDRS is serving to overturn close decisions that therein lies its flaw.

I have to agree with ur points. I would have preferred that udrs would not be used where the ball is hitting or missing by more than half a ball and the on field call should stand..Preferably after the world cup, now that it is working in our advantage.. lol..

No seriosuly, why would H/E have a manual over-ride option allowing an user to manualy edit and change actual trajectory on short notice? why would the inventor build this option into the tool? Particularly when its used in something as high profile as the WC?

Real time and in replays it looked out to me.. The udrs showed the ball barely missing.. It worked to our advantage but to me it was a clear example of how uncertain the prediction system is.. Do u guys agree?
Real time YES, but so far UDRS has been used in the WC and Sachin ( who has been talking against it ) used it to his advantage Indians have been saying thats it's flawed

Bug fixed :embarassed: if (Batsman == Tendulkar ) { if ( Paakis == BowlingTeam) { screwbowlingteam == True ; } }
You'll infer a latch :finger: Bet u didnt know that :icflove:

The funny part was Ian Gould shaking his head after the message was relayed to him or when he saw the replay. It was a marginal decision in the end and it favored Tendulkar tonight. Tendulkar's lucky day and he made the most of it.

Looked as good as plumb but the angle good be questioned. This is probably the first time in 20 years when Sachin gave so many chances to be dismissed. Lucky he was and his score is what took India to a comfortable position, and awfully unlucky and bad we were on the field.
