Ganguly made the greatest comeback in the history of Indian cricket. I can't think of anyone going through so much public humiliation, needing to say in tv ads "Mein aapka Dada, bhule toh nahi", making a comeback and scoring runs at an average of 50! That takes something.

Dhoni is a Maverick with a Midas Touch. Things just work for him ( most of the time ) and he is not afraid of failure unlike us who post mortem everything. Ganguly's youngistan in 2003 had Nehra,Harbhajan,Sehwag,P.Patel,Yuvraj,Zaheer all 25 or under with Dinesh Mongia and Agarkar at 26 years old.Lets compare that with Dhoni's youngistan with Kohli,Raina,Chawla and Ashwin under 25 with Munaf at 26 years old This clearly tells you who laid the foundation for youngistan when you compare the quality of Ganguly's youngsters to Dhoni's youngsters...not to mention Dhoni,Gambhir,Yuvraj,Zaheer and Bhajji themselves getting a chance under Dada. This should end all arguments as to who was the creator of youngstan that today all us fans reap a benefits of

Dhoni no doubt is a good captain and his ability to handle pressure is incredible,I would rate Dhoni as a good manager but real leaders build and lay foundation for the future with their vision.I don't want to make this another Dhoni vs Ganguly thread all I am saying is that Dhoni's youngistan just pertains to probably his teen and kid fans and definetely not his test or ODI team. If anyone wants to debate on this you are more than welcome to bump the Dhoni vs Ganguly thread.

Please read my post....This thread was referring to Dhoni and Youngistan which was what I gave my opinion about but if this hurts the sentiments of Dhoni's supporters and they start bringing up other comparisons I said we can discuss it on the other thread.

If you think the post you are making can not be debated in the current thread, you should not have made the post on the current thread. Personally, I don't see any reason why anyone can not debate whether Dhoni's youngistan concept appeals to his teen and kid fans or older ones.

Yuvi made his debut in 2000, Gambhir in 2003. Dhoni was the Kaptaan. Yes all were youngsters, Too many visits on Green Phorum this days?

Also - people are underestimating the value of hardcore soft forces "inpiration", "Motivation" - which are more important than cricketing skills to bring about best in you.
