Thouroughly deserved to win the WC, peaked at the right time and just got stronger and stronger as the tournament went on.. With the batting line up you guys have, anything under 300 and I would actually expect them to chase.. Good stuff, Congrats on winning the WC.. Next WC is in Aus, don't be afraid to come over and watch Australia win the WC live :two_thumbs_up: But still, it's your time.

Bradman99, thanks mate. I have lot of questions from you. what it felt like in 99 when you guys won? I mean whats the feeling like. Did you feel that you have achieved everything in life, and that now you are done for few summers. What was the end to your great feeling of world championship. Was it over in few months??? By the time the 2003 world cup arrived, you were looking forward to as much as you were looking forward to the 1999 one, since by 2003wc you were already world champs and didn't bother about that tournament much?? Thanks again

^ Honestly mate, I was too young to remember 99.. But 03 I can remember and 07 obviously, very good feelings.. Trust me, the feeling wont go away.. You can say you are world champs for the next 4 years now and you wont want to relinguish saying that come the next WC.. There is probably nothing that will quite top this for India, but once you have a taste of success you want more and more because momentum is a good thing in cricket.. Once you lose it, it's hard to get back.. I'd say India should ride on this.. If they want to be remembered as one of the truly great One Day sides, they need to win more. Certainly capable of that.

Thanks for the reply. I got you. I am going to be there in 2015, hopefully as a player:))) if not, atleast as a team INdia supporter.

They had one parade through Melbourne (or was it Sydney?), a few meetings with high level diplomats (they were invited to the PM's residence) and that was about it. Nothing over the top like giving the MBE's or anything. After about a week or two, it was just back to business.
