satyam1729 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 In final , SL scored 63 against us in last 5 overs. When Nehra came to bowl in similar situation 62 runs was required in 6 overs. He took 2 wicket and gave 3 runs in 2 overs. Who knows if he had not bowled those tight overs, Misbah and Gul might have scored those runs against India. :hatsoff:

That is what Misba was planning all along. Eventually he couldn't even connect any ball.

Maybe its a mental problem ? I have never seen anybody like him. How is it that a batsman cant take singles and also score boundaries when he is capable of doing both ?
kabira Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 to be fair, difference in the pitch. mohali ball was not coming on at all and in Wankhede had nice bounce so settled batsman was able to play through the line
Cricketics Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Ajay Jadeja summed it up for me "You gotta have big heart. The injur he has it, he might be away for next 6 months. You don't know. He came and bowled his heart out in the pakistan game, shows he is still one of the best in India. may be the 2nd best after Zaheer. "
Prakat Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Mark of a true hero. He bounced back from a failed outing and came back and bowled his heart out.
glogirl Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 that spell of his against pak was a loud "shut up" to his critics
ganeshran Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Colgate Nehra bowled really well against Pakistan, but I have a feeling he would have got hit around against Lankans. I mean Jayawardene is a far more accomplished batsman than Pakistanis
Cricket Tragic Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Atleast he contributed to the WC win. Sree didn't do anything.
