ShebbySB Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 We THE INDIANS ArE World no. 1 unlike u Pakistanis hovvering around no. 6,7 & 8.Very soon Ireland,Banladesh will be above u in the rankings.
rkt.india Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Yadav should try and bowl close to the stumps because he creates an angle from wide of the crease and spears the ball to leg side.
vishalvirsingh Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Ishant bowled 146.6 kmph today and with extreme control. Too early to comment but it seems Ishant is back. :yess: where is that slinger baller india HAVE..that KHAN who played for Rajasthan royals and warne called him tornada.. he has a dangerous action and he needs to just ball yorkers and if malinga does not bowl no balls then he should also be a genuine baller....
vishalvirsingh Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Exactly ' date='In india we do not have a captain who knows how to handle fast bowlers ,Also we do not think pace or bounce can trouble opp batsman,For ex umesh yadav was not selected in sa and u19 guy was preffered as he can swing the ball,If you remember the INDO-PAK in Pak Series when GREG CHAPPEL was coach after the test series were we lost and our bowlers pace were criticized ,Then in odi series we got sreesanth,R.psingh they just bowled back of length and bouncers to pak batsman and we won the series on flat decks.Similarly When prasad was the coach WE bowled so many deliveries where the CROSS seam to get the ball to bounce on dead tracks which ishant benefitted but now we just bowl normal stuff no creativity form Bowling coach.[/quote'] I agree totally..many indian coaches will only destroy fast bowling,...i hope sreesanth and ishant dont kill their talent by slowing down further
p3000g Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Hi Guys .. new win this forum Here is my 2 cents on India's fast bowlers.. We do not lack talent.. We have seen many young quicks come and fade away .. How come Pakistan can produce many good world clss quicks and we can't ? We are built of more or less the same physical and mental stock as the pakis , so how come they get genuine quickies , but we can't ? The reason is simple.. Mentoring.. In Imran, Pakistan found a mentor , who could guide young fast bowlers to become world class quicks.. The tradition continues with Wasim and Waqar and they are mentoring the current generation of quicks who will in turn mentor the next generation.. In India, we find batting mentors.. Gavaskar , Tendulkar etc will inspire a whole new generation of batsmen .. but when it comes to fast bowling our cup is thread bare.. Kapil, Srinath and now Zak are doing duty amicably but they are not inspiring a new generation of quicks like Imran, Wasim , Waqar and to an extent Shoaib does for Pak.. It is no surprise, when you ask an Indian kid who their favourite cricketer is , most reply Sachin , wheras if you go to Pakistan, the kids have Imran or Wasim as their idols Just my 2 cents..

If this has been said thousands of times before, why no action has been taken ? Is it the typical desi attitude of 'chalta hai' ? In the euphoria of the world cup win, we are tending to neglect the underlying problems in our pace bowling department.. Who is in line to take over from zak ? sreesanth, munaf, ishant ? :yay::yay::yay:
nsareen Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Ishant sharma 152.4, 151.6,151.6,146.4 what the f ?????????????????? am i the only one or did others see his bowling today???? he was ***ing faster than Steyn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm happy , very happy to see his pace back.. he was sending down missiles.... , all the shots were edges , nobody knew how to play atleast till this point when his 2 overs are completed.
nsareen Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 149.7....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he his definately wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy quick
Fontaine Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Yeah, and he's not even running in hard. It looks off his usual run up and action. Around 148/152 going into his 3rd over. He's hitting the deck hard landing it on the seam.
nsareen Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 149 kmph!!!!!!!!!!! 4th balll, whats happening guys... this is for real.. he has changed his action... PAYING DIVIDENDS
Fontaine Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 His deliveries around off stump are getting very hard to play as they're around shoulder height of the batsmen. Damn, haven't seen Ishant bowl this well since the Aussie tour.
Indian Pride Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 He's consistantly bowling in the 150's.. where has this speed come from? The control too has been good.
nsareen Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Dammnnn this is reall... Gony is being clocked at 134 133 135.... , HUGE DIFFERENCE
