Cricketics Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 You can't drop your best player from captaicny. Thats it. That to for Poor captain like Sangakara. Priety and Wadis messed it up big time that season. Plus at this video, Media just trying to build some aag between the fans. The video should be ignored

Best player does not equal captain. If it was, then Murali, Sachin would have been captains. Clearly, Yuvi did not do very well for KXIP as he got animated quickly in the field and his own form lacking. And of course, Sangakara is a better captain, his record speaks for himself.

Sanga was a better captain for Sri Lanka. His record of 4 wins and 10 losses and finishing last in 2010 IPL is also a record that speaks for itself. Yuvi's kings 11 made it to SF in 2008 and missed the SF in 2009 by NRR. It was his form that troubled the owners and they wanted someone who would follow the coach. Bad move.
achilles Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Pooonjab is so zapped and the way Yuvi drubbed his former team in Pune's opener was poetic justice :hehe:
girishk14 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Both Sanga and Yuvraj are poor captaincy choices. Mahela should have been made captain, KXIP WAS a strong team, and he would have definitely led them much better than gonga
rkt.india Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Its their own fault. How can they blame Yuvi. Yuvi is not their property. They did not do well to him. Yuvi was their best player.
ganeshran Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Yuvraj is a very good player, but IMO he isnt captaincy material, atleast not for the national side.

ViruRulez Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 It was wrong to drop him from captaincy after simply one season and they might have been the IPL biggies till now if he had been continued as captain. But to be frank, UV captaincy has improved a lot till now as he seems to have learned a lot about the same. Veeru is the only captain who never improved. Gauti is also improving at a brisk pace.

Sachinism Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Ness and Preity messed up. There was only one person worthy of captaining that side. That is none other than Piyush Chawla
Sir john Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Ness and Preity messed up. There was only one person worthy of captaining that side. That is none other than Piyush Chawla :finger:
ganeshran Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Ness and Preity messed up. There was only one person worthy of captaining that side. That is none other than Piyush Chawla yup ..all he needs is some confidence. I am sure if he loses 3 IPLs on the trot , he will win one match in the fouth season :phehehe:
akshayxyz Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 ^ by the time PC retires, he will be the most confident cricketer of all time.
ViruRulez Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 So as a captain Viru does not Rulez :--D wont deny that at all ... but he is still a great hitter NB: Even Dhoni is not a perfect captain but he is the best of the lot by a country mile.
