The Outsider Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Is the swing back or is it just for tonight? Bowling really well and getting the ball to move around. Seeing him bowl this well after ages.
The Outsider Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 Haven't watched any other match of Kochi, so not sure if it's a one off or he has consistently been bowling this well.
Sid Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Good to see him swinging the ball in to the right handers.Actually bowled well also in that game vs CSK at Kochi.
Ramzz Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 SS swinging it too...must be the conditions. SS is bowling like he was in SA 2006
The Outsider Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 SS swinging it too...must be the conditions. SS is bowling like he was in SA 2006 Yeah, I saw even Perrara swinging a few, so would probably curb my enthusiasm.
The Outsider Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 you went to the dark side    Dude, it's Jay Leno or IPL.
yoda Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 you went to the dark side    What's wrong in seeing some good bowling which ofc is rare in T20s? :dontknow:
Sid Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 He bowled well against KKR and MI as well in unfavourable conditions ,so he is definately in better form.
ravishingravi Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 you went to the dark side    Better dark than green. No BB. :winky:
rkt.india Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 he still did not bowl full enough and bowled to short for my liking
Guest tekno Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Given the conditions, every bowler was getting assistance with swing. Steyn was getting swing like in SA
saneindian Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 If only he could lose a little more weight and get fitter. On helpful tracks, he still bowls well, but on flatter wickets, just loses it again.
vvvslaxman Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 If only he could lose a little more weight and get fitter. On helpful tracks' date= he still bowls well, but on flatter wickets, just loses it again. That is due to the tuskers uniform. Everyone in that orange/purple outfit look fat. Even jaddu.
Cricket Tragic Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 That is due to the tuskers uniform. Everyone in that orange/purple outfit look fat. Even jaddu. :cantstop:
kabira Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Jay Leno anytime ... hellooooooo :whack: I iz dissappoint :sniffle: you disappoint me. I guess old age is catching up with you. :--D:--D:--D:--D
Fontaine Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 RP has been bowling well, and not just in this match. From what I've seen of him so far he's really improved in the one area where he really sucked. Which was bowling at least one poor delivery every over two/three years ago. He's a LOT more consistent in his line now and does a much better job. He still has some swing but he looks a lot more consistent than before and a more mature bowler.
saneindian Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 That is due to the tuskers uniform. Everyone in that orange/purple outfit look fat. Even jaddu. Naah. That double chin is still so clearly visible. There is a lot of accumulated fat there and RPS does need to knock all of that. He still has the skills, just needs to get fitter.
rkt.india Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 RP Singh's swing had never eluded him. Problem with RP singh is he does not operate in good areas often enough. Sometimes when it swings, he takes wicket but even with swing, his accuracy can go haywire and when there is no swing he is an easy cannon fodder in tests as he cannot bowl in tests in subcontinent. He can bowl well in OZ, SA, or English conditions.
