Ohh and he is a well known hollywood actor. Interesting trivia: In January 2009,[13] Lundgren's Marbella home was reportedly broken into by three masked burglars who tied up and threatened Qviberg, but fled when they spotted a family photo and realized that the house was owned by Lundgren. The intruders are still at large.
THX_1138 Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 i thought he was a mechanical engineering major... ah well the fact that he was at MIT for graduate school is quite an achievement. believe me, if MIT is selective at the undergraduate level, at the graduate level is frack your mom competitive. when i had applied, i thought i had a decent application... did not even make the waiting list. last year, our star undergraduate applied, he is a goldwater scholarship recipient and he too did not make it!

Agreed, MIT is very competitive (they give a lot of weight-age to academics). They expect you to be in top 5% or so in your field. Especially significant achievements to show off in recent past. Their philosophy is, if you have not achieved anything significant in last two years, you are out of form - sort of :). As for this guy, not just graduate, but he was recipient of some prestigious scholarship too.

He probably will get the Param Veer chakra equivalent of Sweden for killing a walrus or breaking an iceberg. Come to think of it, driving a rickshaw in suburban Mumbai is more of an occupational hazard than being an elite Swedish soldier. :dontknow: Nothing to brag about.

But I am going to go on a limb and hazard a guess: rickshaw casualties in Mumbai in the last 10 years are probably more than Swedish military casualties in the last 30-40 years. And just being members of NATO is nothing to brag about. I mean the guy who waves the flag at airbases when the fighter planes are about to take off doesn't become a hero simply by association. Does he? :P
