See, I created this thread with some evidence. I dont mind people proving me wrong as long as they can bring stats into it. People talk about bradman when even their father wasn't there to watch him play. So, just because i wasn't able to see the matches doesn't mean i can't hold an onion. Moreover, just by looking at this thread. No one backed up how they weren't overrated compared to other great bowlers such as Donald, Mcgrath etc. All they did was wet their chaddis and started bashing this thread.

Both Akram and Waqar were very good bowlers and Akram especially had a great swing both ways at 90mph with a short run up. I dont know about Ball tampering, but they certainly were amazing bowlers.

so essentially what your saying is if you had a well set top order batsman and you have mcgrath,steyn,donald,wasim,waqar, the two W's would be last on your list. fair enough based on those stats. but I've seen wasim especially throw everything at the batsman and he really was the toughest to face according to many legendary batsman, so I don't think your'e giving him enough credit. dont know why he didnt get many wickets against top order, maybe they were happy playing him out(not good excuse i know because mcgath,donald have been able to and im sure batsmen's mindset was to play them out as well) but my list would be(in order): mcgrath, waqar(phhassht), wasim, steyn, donald, waqar(slow)

So far in this thread.... An amatuer has posted that he thinks the 2 Ws were over-rated because he hasnt ever seen them play. A 7 year old kid who started to watch cricket since india won the T20wc is backing the amatuer's theory by saying that the great records achieved by the two were mainly lower order wickets. A few decent posters have been really honest and given fair judgements, just like the way pakistanis give fair judgements regarding legends like Tendulkar, Dravid and Ganguly. Series are not won bowlers alone. Batsmen have to perform as well. Who knows, maybe Pakistan's batsmen were good enough to support their bowlers and go one step further than the top teams like Australia or SA? Can be a possibility no?

Wasin Akram has always been my favourite bowler.What a bowler he was,probably the greatest ever left arm seamers world has seen. Waqar though was also a great but not in the same class as Wasim .

Im having a very strange day. First of All Sehwag is miles better than Anwar ever was. Inzimam was useless Wasim and Waqar were over-rated.

Sehwag is better than Anwar in any format of the game.... Inzimam was useless in big matches like finals and WCs Wasim and Waqar were not over rated,but that doesnt change the fact that you are a troll
