Usually that is given when you are almost close to the non striker end not half the pitch.

Problem is he ran only half the pitch and came back . How many times we see players denying singles to tail enders to retain the strike. Here bhajji managed to get the single and also strike by running half the pitch :cantstop: . Imagine if batsmen start doing this at all levels. But i think there is one warning for such act for the entire team.

NO, all done within the rules and the umpires noticed the short run as well 2. Should he banned for this ? NO 3. Should the rule be altered? YES 4. How? Dont count any runs after the short run 6. Has the OP gone overboard? Yes, without understanding the rules. 7. But hey, you can do this in Test matches with tailenders? NO, you get one warning much like when bowling a beamer 8. Some people don't like this player and have pre-conceived opinions? Yes I agree much ado about nothing when it's all done though would prefer a change in the rule. See how calmly the commentators took it.
