Ultimate_Game Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 the Osama Bin Laden incident? There were reports in April that BCCI was planning to resume bilateral series with Pakistan but after we have seen how Osama was staying in a "mansion" just 40 miles from Islamabad in the same city which houses Pakistani army base as well as army training camp, do you think it will be safe for us to tour Pakistan? Personally I have no confidence and faith in Pakistani security establishment to protect our players. What do you folks think?
panther Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 its not like India are gonna visit anytime soon if they do have a series it will probably be in India
Ultimate_Game Posted May 2, 2011 Author Posted May 2, 2011 its not like India are gonna visit anytime soon if they do have a series it will probably be in India BCCI was thinking of a bilateral series and to me it looked similar to one of those "friendship" series where we tour Pakistan before something new happens to derail the ties. I sure hope they don't make sacrificial lambs out of our cricket team.
Midfielder Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Not at all. Minimum condition should be return of Dawood and bringing 26/11 mastermind to justice.
asterix Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Not only India tour, all future tours planned by ICC should be shelved. Atleast for another 10 years.. Let them play in UAE..
ganeshran Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 We were never planning to tour pakistan. Any bilateral series would happen at a neutral venue or India
Karan114 Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 After those initial comments by someone in the government, talk had quickly shifted to fitting in an ODI series at a neutral venue, so I don't think touring that country was ever a realistic possibility. No country (apart from the Afghanis) is going to be touring them for many, many years yet.
Cricket Tragic Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 No. Ask any sensible Pakistani and they would say the same thing. My Pakistani friends don't want any team to tour either.
Ultimate_Game Posted May 2, 2011 Author Posted May 2, 2011 No. Ask any sensible Pakistani and they would say the same thing. My Pakistani friends don't want any team to tour either. Hope our board is "sensible" enough as well
Cricket Tragic Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Hope our board is "sensible" enough as well They were never going to tour anyway. If they do play a series, it will be in India or a neutral venue. Pakistan is due to tour India early next year. We don't have time for a series before that.
Ultimate_Game Posted May 2, 2011 Author Posted May 2, 2011 They were never going to tour anyway. If they do play a series' date=' it will be in India or a neutral venue. Pakistan is due to tour India early next year. We don't have time for a series before that.[/quote'] Hope that doesn't happen as well and India should put pressure on Pakistan to hand over Dawood and 26/11 criminals before any resumption in ties. From now on Pakis can't even fall back on "Dawood is not in Pakistan" excuse :hysterical:
vijay810 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 The man was found just 4 km from a military camp. It was a fortress with cameras attached. Why would India want to go an play cricket there.........So as to help finance the ISI shileding Dawood in similar fortress . No way. Total boycott.bleed PCB economically so as they will put pressure on govt to stop the terror sponsorship
vvvslaxman Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Sure.. may be after 10,000 years if that country still exists.
NareshK Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Never. That country is a terrorist cesspool. First let them clean up their act and talk about cricket.
Prakat Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Pakistan is a big no no for any visiting team. Kudos for fielding a cricket team in the middle of all this turmoil and national angst over the last decade or more, but they should just be on tour and not host any intl. matches until things stabilize. It shouldn't even be a case of other teams refusing to go, PCB shouldn't even think of endangering opposing teams by inviting them in the first place.
Sachin=GOD Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 No cricket with Pakistan, whether its in Pakistan or in India or in any other country.
