I guess there's 3rd party - but weird when everyone else offers insurance from phone carrier or manufacturer. you forgot to copy the fifth paragraph from that website, AT&T has been rumored for some time to be preparing an iPhone insurance plan, but nothing has yet come to light. Apple doesn't offer insurance on its products, though its AppleCare extended warranty does cover the iPhone.

They also cover theft (quite possible with smartphones) and accidental damage by the owner. I thought AppleCare is more like coverage if there is any manufacturing defect. (or am I incorrect?)

Well I've read people getting their iPhone fixed by acciedental damage. For theft, Apple includes Find my iPhone app which can help you find your lost iPhone. I assume people who look for cell phone insurance may already have homeonwer's or rental's insurance and they can include iPhone in that policy. HTH

And What is the price (approx) for iphone 4 without contract ? you need to make sure that its not a cdma iphone.I am buying from ebay .the atrix is really easy to unlock but i bought an unlocked one anyway.my uncle has assured me that he knows a guy who can unlock it.you can get one on ebay for around 600 bucks.

Hearing good things about atrix but it looks like its much slower than S2.

Here are the benchmarks of the phones from Anandtech. Cleary, Tegra 2 is far superior and there is news that Samsung will be releasing Galaxy S II with Tegra 2 processors. The second-gen Galaxy S launched at MWC this year with Samsung's own Exynos dual-core solution at its heart, but it seems that yields of that chip haven't been good enough to sate the expected high demand for the handset. Source: Engadget LG's Optimus 3D with Ti OMAP4 performed better than Exynos and Tegra2 phones.
