In spite of repeated pleas, emails, producing financial documents etc.. the committee remains unsatisfied. In fact they want kaneria's former employer Essex to give him a certificate of clearance. Not quite sure why the PCB needs a "character certificate" from the employer of the player it wants to recruit.

The most corrupt board in the world which defends their players who are found ball tampering, match fixing, spot fixing, infighting and removes ban on them a couple of weeks after having banned them. Obviously this is just a case of politics. Its laughable that Pakis are suddenly concerned about integrity after all that they have been doing.

Anyways, I don't think religion has got anything to do with Kaneria's ouster from the team. He was crap last year, kept bowling dollies even in low scoring matches and lost his spot to Ajmal who is a better spinner than him.

ganeshran Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 PCB always has the strange tendency to shuffle players in and out of the team. Almost all players faces a continuous cycle of bans and comebacks in his career. I dont think Kaneria's exclusion has anything to do with his religion.
