jaggadaku Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 A military base in Karachi has been attacked by militants and at least five explosions and firing have been heard from the base. The attack started late Sunday night at the gate of the Faisal base in Karachi. There are reports that 12 terrorists are inside the military base and at least one airplane - a P-3C Orion recently given to Pakistan by the US - has been destroyed. Four security personnel have been reportedly killed in the attack. Two injured have been moved to a hospital. Authorities have sent in navy commandos to battle the attackers, who responded with gunfire and grenades, said a senior security official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue. Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik also confirmed that it is a terror attack and that navy ship PNS Mehran has also been attacked by terrorists. Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani condemned the attack, saying such a "cowardly act of terror could not deter the commitment of the government and people of Pakistan to fight terrorism." No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Complete the indentured servitude to the Chinese and surrender their rights to their Chinese overlords. That way the taliban/AQ whatever jihadis can fight the Chinese as well as Paks lol right Zardari. Good god Paks whine about their sovereignty then beg the Chinese to build a naval base in their country.

We also sent some Indian armymen across the LOC and staged the kargil war.

Dude, you had a known terrorist living amongst your army folks, collusion between your military/intelligence and terrorists is a known fact, plus your country thrives on aid coming in the form of fighting "war on terror", so it is conceivable that a few of these incidents (may not be this one) are done by the military themselves or at least it gives a perception that your army of crooks is quite capable of staging a few of these on their own. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised of a few of your nukes disappear one day in one of these "attacks" by militants against one of your military locations. I wouldn't put it past your military/ISI to stage one such to exchange a few nukes for some nice cash.
kubrickian Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Its obvious that a section of ISI and Pak Army is in collusion with terrorists and using them for strategic purposes like carrying out terror attacks in India and maintaining a sphere of influence in Afghanistan. Obviously the civilian leadership and other sections of Pak Army were happy as long as it didnt affect Pakistan and they targeted Afghanistan and India. Now that US is smoking out terrorists within Pak, they have no choice but to fight back even against their own forces. Pak played a very dangerous game and it was going to backfire sooner rather than later.
