Asim Posted June 1, 2011 Author Posted June 1, 2011 Thanks Stuge! I thought Hindi alphabet sounds will be similar to Urdu but they are totally different but interesting… (by the way how to pronounce ङ "nga" and ञ "nja" and ज्ञ "jnja" it says...)

So it will be easier for you to learn provided you remember all the sounds for the alphabets. Rapidex has some Hindi learning books. You can also ask any advice here. :nice:

Unlike the other so-called ‘experts’ here, I actually have the necessary credentials to prove it. There’s an exam in India called ‘Prathmik’ that is a test of your hindi language skills. It is by far, the toughest exam in the world – even tougher than IIT-JEE or the CAT Entrance examination in India. I’ve written it and scored 93 out of a 100 when I was like 10 or something. I can even send you proof of my certification if you want. Again, you don’t have to take my word for it. Google the terms ‘Prathmik’ or ‘toughest Hindi certification exam in the world..’, if you want.. :nice: I am willing to be your one-stop-shop for all Hindi related questions, only as long as a)the sentences don’t have more than 3-4 words in them b) 2 of those words must be stuff like ‘mein’, ‘aap’, ‘tum’, ‘hum’ etc.. and 3rd word must be in English. :icflove:

Its not a compulsory topic in schools. Students are free to choose what languages and what medium of instruction they want to study.
