I am not saying that guys like Rahane don't deserve, just that Dhawan never got the chance which he deserved when he was in TOP FORM. Now he has gotten the chance, so it's fair he get a run here. I don't know how much he will score today, but the guy is good enough to be in Indian national side. Screw you guys who talk about technique or he doesn't look international class. You guys don't know how to actually bat I guess.

One thing I didn't like was him trying to hit his way out of the drought. And looking to hit anything slightly loose with a lot of power rather than making sure its put into the gap

Could have been little more sensible. I guess batting alongside Rohit Sharma, he had bit of a brainfart.

I.[/quote'] Its not to do with lack of elegance or not pleasing on eye. Its lack of technique which he has which is horrid, which means that he will not be success at highest level. When you bat like you are chopping trees down it means you will not succed at top level.

Just needs to get out of this T20 mode and take batting seriously.

CoverDrive Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Problem is he has been picked when he is not in the best of forms. I would have taken guy like Rayudu or Rahane in his place. Shikhar Dhawan was in red hot form in his younger days but unfortunately there was not place for him in the team back then
