# 1 - As the Crow Flies by Jeffrey Archer - I've probably read it 5 times.
A Matter of Honor is my favorite Archer book - really surprised that no one made a movie on it. The plot and the speed of the book are just perfect for a thriller.

Catch -22 is one of my all time favourite. Anybody here read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley? I liked that novel very much. Don't think there would be many here who would read Hindi Novel. But if any one intested, I would suggest Sara Akash by Rajendra Yadav. It's english translation is also available by name of Strangers on the roof, but better to read original one.

I also read Hindi. I like Sharad Joshi, Bhishma Sahni, Amritlal Nagar, Jaishankar Prasad, Yashpal etc. Many of the prominent Hindi writers are very under rated and people don't read most of their books nowadays.

Fountainhead' date='Day of the Jackal, the Odessa Files,[b']Kane and Abel
I feel its very over rated. IMO "as the crow flies", "the fourth estate", "a matter of honor", "false impressions" were better than Kane & Abel.

^yes. Prodigal daughter was good. Archer himself being a politician, writes Political novels very well. First Among Equals was also quite good and provided insight into the British Political system.

God Father, Contagion, Doctors, Da-Vinci Code. The God Delusion Its not about the Bike The Code Book - Excellent book on history of cryptography, not technical at all. Tipping Point.
