Silva Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 No Yuvraj or Pujara too ? Is this the first test series where India is playing without 7 or 8 first choice players ? So what will be the likely eleven ? Murali Vijay Abhinav Mukund Dravid Laxman Kohli Badrinath/Raina Dhoni Bhajji Mishra Ishant Munaf other than Dravid and laxman the rest of our potential specialist batsman have a combined total of 11 or 17 test matches. I still think India should win. It would be cruel for selectors to not pick Badrinath. They can't be that heartless to pick him ahead of Rahane and rohit and then decided to start Raina instead. Can they? :nervous: If the match is on the line and India need to stick around to ensure a draw Raina would be completely useless in those type of situations. Considering the inexperience of the Indian batting line up and Dravids lack of form that number 6 position is really important.
Cricketics Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 I want Dhoni to announce that he is not going for test either. Than we can have Munaf lead the team with Ishant the vice - captain. What a sight that will be :)))
Ultimate_Game Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 I think we will lose the 1st Test as it will be played at Kingston (Jamaica), which I believe is the fastest pitch in the Windies. I think it's the same ground where we struggled in T20 Cup and were 40 odd for 7 against Aussies.
Stuge Posted June 11, 2011 Author Posted June 11, 2011 We have great chance of losing. Putting a B team out for overseas tour is suicidal. I am very worried +1
jusarrived Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 I think we will win 2-0 our batting still looks very strong & only Zaheer missing from bowling ..am sure its a good enough side to beat WI
King Tendulkar Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Cant believe the arrogance here. We have a B team out against a proper test match nation. I think we are in big trouble here. This is gonna be a so tough Can anyone see why I was worried now:((
punjabi_khota Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Imagine losing 2-0 here. SRT will be forced to retire. Dhoni will be declared persona non grata.
Stuge Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 There you go .We have just lost first ODI against Windies .
Ravi. Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Our batting and bowling is weak. A lot of depends on Laxman,Dravid,Dhoni and Harbhajan.
Karan114 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Our batting and bowling is weak. A lot of depends on Laxman' date='Dravid,Dhoni and Harbhajan.[/quote'] And Dravid has been mediocre in Tests for a long time...only saving grace is that his good series these days tend to come against minnow teams (like NZ and Bangla) so he might score some here.
Sid Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 A session of batting collapse and we will be in danger .....................:nervous:
Karan114 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 A session of batting collapse and we will be in danger .....................:nervous: We are bound to have a few batting collapses - apart from Laxman there isn't a single in form Test batsman in this team.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I think that Dravid will score. He has struggled only against the better teams. He has filled his boots against NZ, Bang and SL (in India).
1983-2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Parthiv Patel/Abhinav Mukund Murali Vijay Rahul Dravid VVS Laxman Virat Kohli Subramaniam Badrinath/Suresh Raina MS Dhoni (WK) Harbhajan Singh Amit Mishra Ishant Sharma/Praveen Kumar Munaf Patel we will win 2-0 with this line up:dance:
Texan Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I think it will be a tough series and India will pay dearly for neglecting this series. Windies can't be taken lightly. Our batting was already weak after the injuries. Now, the bowling will rely too much on the spinners. If Windies produce a bouncy track, they will win.
Equinox Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Do remember that two of the Test matches are in Sabina Park and Bridgetown. And if there is no BCCI influence they should be quick and bouncy. But more likely BCCI will step in to save your a**.
