vvvslaxman Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 He will come around. This is one lousy pitch where you cannot really trust the bounce. Some rear off some don't.
Cricketics Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 What the heck you guys know about cricket who come here and talk about guys like Kohli, Mukund should be dropped after failure in on tests. Did you guys ever score even 10 runs in gully cricket??? These Mukunds and Kohlis are scoring and have scored tons of runs for their respective domestic teams. There is a reason why they have been chosen among plenty of other bats. Their records, averages speak that. Go figure instead of coming out here and talking trash.

Sid Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Difficult pitch, but very poor from Kohli, hope he comes off in the 2nd innings.
Cricketics Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I don't think it was the pitch. It was more of a poor shot from Kohli.
Rana Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Looks like Kohli will feature against England after 4 years, or in Bangaluru.
Karan114 Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Yes poor technique ' date='he had no idea.[/quote'] Yep, bad technique, nothing else. Ball rose up on him slightly (it wasn't even a proper bouncer) and he had no idea what to do. Needs to put a huge amount of work in the nets on how to play bounce.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 He hasn't made the transition as quickly as I expected but it's far to early to write him off. This is his second test ffs.
Cricket Tragic Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 If you expect anything from VJ, you deserve to be disappointed.
anotherhawkeye Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 He hasn't made the transition as quickly as I expected but it's far to early to write him off. This is his second test ffs. Agree. Still I'm not in favor of giving him chance again in England. If he failed against WI, he is more prone to fail there as well. He might have to play one more FC season before making a come back again. Same goes for Mukund and MV, if they fail again in the 2nd innings as well. Our young core is pathetic at this point, save for Raina.

sarcastic Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 you disappoint son. Period. You give up after being such a big fan!!!!! Surprising :beee:
anotherhawkeye Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Who would be the opener/reserve opener if VJ isn't picked? Karthik is an option I guess. Sigh...Need to pick the best of the worst, I guess. I was hoping Mukund would turn it around in this Test, but not looking good after today. Pappa Patel? If we knew Mukund and MV would have bombed in this innings (we couldn't have, but still), we could have given PP a chance in this test to see what he has got. At this point, I'm leaning towards Baby face and/or Karthik. Neither is good, but then it is what it is.
