i doubt he will get another chance in the test team again but if he gets in he is asset to the side with his left arm spin bowling

There are moments in life and also cricket where things can and will absolutely turn your way. You have to sense it and capitalize it. WC was one such moment for Yuvraj. Unfortuntely he was short sighted like most others to go for the big bucks and not cease it. I genuinely believe a phenomenal talent like this cannot be kept away from greatness in Tests unless he himself is screwed in the head. I think he missed the boat, I really do. He was at a right age and stage to cement his place in test squad.

He has the right to advertise his credentials and make a case for his selection, in the same manner that the selectors have the right (and the responsibility) to pick the best Indian side for the conditions that will confront us in England. And considering all that has happened over the last couple of years of Indian test, it will be nothing short of a miracle of Yuvraj finds himself at no.6, come the English summer. Yuvraj needs to understand that he can’t seem to have done nothing about his inadequacy with short-pitched bowling at all, and still expect that the people (and the selectors) will continue to repose faith in him.

He's going to be the number 6 at least for first 2 tests unless Raina/Kohli score heavily in the WI series. The lung infection happened at a wrong time for him, else would have been batting at 5 even in this series. And this time he may turn it around. Was in decent test form (11 tests, 500+ runs@42 with 6-7 50s since Dada retired) when he lost his spot to Raina last year solely due to his fitness problems. With the injury problems gone now, it wont be a surprise to see him do well at the test level as well.

I don't think he will make it to the test squad. If he was fit for WI tests, he would have been a shoo-in in the B-team that we are playing now, but since he missed that boat, he can't expect to come in and play in England right away, without having played any test matches in like last 1 year.

If he does make it to the Test squad then this is probably his last chance to seal a Test spot because the likes of Kohli, Raina, Pujara are breathing down his neck and if given a chance, Yuvraj just has to perform otherwise he can say goodbye to Test cricket.

doesn't this guy get it? its not about your fitness yuvraj, im sure you can run 100 meters in 30 seconds. its about your brainfreezes, lack of technique, lack of patience, lack of skill etc etc.

there is an excellent chance he will make the team as we will probably play bhajji as the lone spinner in most matches. It would be a step back imo as we have to find future indian batsmen but Yuvi has sort of earned it with the WC performance.
