^ Dude, Laxman was smashing centuries, double centuries, and even triple centuries in domestic cricket before he was recalled for the 2001 Australia series, because Azhar was not available to be picked. Are you attributing Laxman's resilience to come back in the side to Ganguly? Dravid as a keeper - I've busted this myth numerous times on ICF. It's another classic case of people trying to rewrite history to glorify their heroes. Dravid was averaging in the 40s with a SR of 75 for the last couple of years before he became a keeper. But, yeah he owes his ODI career to Dada!

Lollz people here rate Kohli ahead of Dada. Guys give it a break. Agreed that Kohli is a bright prospect but to say he's better than Dada. Dada had scored 7.5k runs!!! And VK' date=' right now is struggling in WI. YEs he's has had a good start in one-dayers but, he has to prove himself in tests. And he's nowhere in the league of all the big guns you guys named.[/quote'] Sarcasm detector :fail:

Ok hence the conclusion from a pure batting standpoint Dravid...Laxman....Ganguly I say this determining their individual batting weaknesses But ranking them in our cricket history Ganguly...Dravid...Laxman in that order.. Let me give you an example Desilva was a superior batsman than Ranatunga but he will always be ranked below Arjuna in Srilankan Cricket

If likes of Kohli, Dhoni, Raina had been playing in the 90's Players like Ganguly would never have made the team. One lucky Man this Ganguly is, Here people are debating on Dravid and Laxman owing their Career to Ganguly. Ganguly owes his Career to Dalmiya who was from Bengal.

lol ur funny, the below stats should silence you, laxman's batting averages under tendulkar and azhar between 1996-2000, when he himself admitted he feared he would never be picked for india again [often forced to open the innings during this time]. then see how his batting bloomed with the avg. shooting to over 50 under ganguly, starting with his epic innings of 281  Span Mat Inns NO Runs HS Ave BF SR 100 50 0 4s 6s *SR Tendulkar 1996-2000 12 21 2 526 167 27.68 1245 42.24 1 3 3 63 0 *M Azharuddin 1998-1999 6 11 0 290 95 26.36 611 47.46 0 2 1 45 0 *SC Ganguly 2000-2005 43 64 7 2984 281 52.35 5615 53.14 6 15 3 426 4

 Outy was talking about domestic cricket. Laxman decided that he wouldn't open and that he was available only as a middle order batsman. He made the runs in domestic cricket and came back in into the middle order.

ummm he was always scoring tons of runs in domestic cricket but only ganguly got the best out of him at the international level and my statistics perfectly illustrate that thanks

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: You obviously can't read. Laxman batted as an opener at the start of his career while he batted as a middle order player under Gangu. Before you credit that to Gangu, it was a decision that Laxman himself made after being dropped. He said that he was not going to open again and wanted to make a comeback as a middle order batsman.
