Are you attributing Laxman's resilience to come back in the side to Ganguly? Dravid as a keeper - I've busted this myth numerous times on ICF. It's another classic case of people trying to rewrite history to glorify their heroes. Dravid was averaging in the 40s with a SR of 75 for the last couple of years before he became a keeper. But, yeah he owes his ODI career to Dada!

Ok hence the conclusion from a pure batting standpoint Dravid...Laxman....Ganguly I say this determining their individual batting weaknesses But ranking them in our cricket history Ganguly...Dravid...Laxman in that order.. Let me give you an example Desilva was a superior batsman than Ranatunga but he will always be ranked below Arjuna in Srilankan Cricket

Laxman batted as an opener at the start of his career while he batted as a middle order player under Gangu. Before you credit that to Gangu, it was a decision that Laxman himself made after being dropped. He said that he was not going to open again and wanted to make a comeback as a middle order batsman.
