zen Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Interesting choice of keeper. I wouldn't pick him personally but I think that Flower is massively underrated. Not playing much against Eng/Aus didn't help I guess. I rate Flower highly. In the test 11, there are too many flashy batsmen (except for Gavaskar) so thought Flower could lend a bit more solidity lower down than Gilly.
jonas10 Posted July 5, 2011 Author Posted July 5, 2011 Everyone should make sure to join the facebook group and vote in Gavaskar, Sehwag and of course SRT. This is an official ICC vote and you just know the Paks will be voting in Javed the terrorist. Wish Dhoni was an option - probably in 25 years. My heart goes out to Kumble and Bedi but if there is only one spot for me its got to be Warne!
Indian Pride Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 1. Gavaskar 2. Greenidge 3. Bradman 4. Tendulkar 5. Richards 6. Sobers 7. Gilchrist 8. Marshall 9. Warne 10. McGrath 11. Holding
SachDan Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Just couple of days remaining before voting closes. Vote for Sachin,Sunny,Sehwag :isalute:

vamos_rafa Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 umm' date=' why Kapil instead of Sobers or Imran?[/quote'] Well,I was looking for a genuine swinging option. I know Wasim Akram is also there in my team but he's more of an everything bowler so I went for Kapil who was an out an out swing bowler.

SachDan Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 ^ oh you were posting all those SRT batting vids for us "fan boys"?
Jimmy Cliff Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 ^^Haha. Well there is a lot of competition for the no.5 slot in my All Time XI. (Bradman, Richards and Sobers are certainties at 3, 4 and 6 though). Could've picked any one out of SRT/Pollock/Lara/Chappell et all as the no.5 really...:winky:

Outside of that it is a matter of personal preference on who the other two middle order batsman would be.

You were not happy when Sachin was compared with Bradman, heck even with Viv..now you're going to the extend of saying Sachin can't be really seperated from the pack of Graeme Pollock,Lara, Greg etc! yeah you're "a great admirer of SRT" and it's only "srtfanaticswhosucks" :hysterical:

Come out of the obsession with that one player and may be you can enjoy and appreciate the game better.
