ganeshran Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Its plain ugly the way he shuffles before the wicket. I started a thread against him the day of the first IPL match when I saw him for the first time
desi pride 1234 Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 why dont the media discuss these things? if its in public, then i am sure nobody would have dared to select anirudha
Sachin=GOD Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 There is no way he can/should get an India cap. Well, Srikkanth & Co are about to get an extension as the Selection Committee and Srinivasan is going to become BCCI President, so you never know, you could be seeing Aniruddha Srikkanth and Vijay as openers :((
The Outsider Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I am pretty sure the aim is to somehow hand Anirudha an India cap in some meaningless ODI/T20 so he can be eligible for the IPL auction.
NareshK Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Its only in India that someone can do something like this and expect to get away.
Sachin=GOD Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I am pretty sure the aim is to somehow hand Anirudha an India cap in some meaningless ODI/T20 so he can be eligible for the IPL auction. Is it necessary to have played International cricket for an IPL contract? Or is it some particular money bracket in the auction above which only International players can be auctioned?
The Outsider Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Is it necessary to have played International cricket for an IPL contract? Or is it some particular money bracket in the auction above which only International players can be auctioned? Only the ones who have played international cricket are eligible for the auction - the rest go for some predetermined price (not sure of the figure, think it's $30-50,000 depending on the experience level).
Cricket Tragic Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I am pretty sure the aim is to somehow hand Anirudha an India cap in some meaningless ODI/T20 so he can be eligible for the IPL auction. It says in the article that he played in the IPL. :hmmmm2:

Then most certainly he will be getting a spot in the national team soon. Srikkanth and Vijay as openers with Badrinath in the middle order and Unadkat leading the "pace" attack :yay::yay:
ganeshran Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 ^ He will never sustain at the International level. Cheeka wants atleast one cap for his son - which in itself is one too many.
BeautifulGame Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I am pretty sure the aim is to somehow hand Anirudha an India cap in some meaningless ODI/T20 so he can be eligible for the IPL auction. But who on earth is going to bid for him in an auction. He will be lucky to get similar money as he gets now with CSK without doing anything even if he enters auction.
The Outsider Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 It says in the article that he played in the IPL. :hmmmm2: Yeah, but he played in the 'fixed price' bracket and was not eligible for the auction because he has not played international cricket.
BERGKAMP Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 This really is sickening. I hope the media go to town on this and expose this inexcusable bias/corruption.
The Outsider Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 But who on earth is going to bid for him in an auction. He will be lucky to get similar money as he gets now with CSK without doing anything even if he enters auction. The chief scum bags - Srinivasan and Srikkanth are prominent names for CSK. They'll say - 'Laga do boli $300,000 ki'
asterix Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Unnecessary controversy for Srikkanth..His panel was doing well with India being Test #1, WC champs..
deepak_sach Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 No everybody has misunderstood.. Aniruddha wanted to go to australia. But it would have taken his ipl salary for a holiday in australia. So Kris sent him on a paid trip free of cost.
vvvslaxman Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I am pretty sure the aim is to somehow hand Anirudha an India cap in some meaningless ODI/T20 so he can be eligible for the IPL auction. That is pretty much it. Cheeka knows his son has no scope at the international level. So he tries to get his son to play atleast one international match. I would recommend a T20 match with zimbabwe for guys like valthaty, anirudda so that they can make some money without affect Indian side.
Ultimate_Game Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Lol so a guy who can't even get into TN Ranji squad is good enough for Emerging Player squad :haha: Srikanth has lost a lot of respect and credibility with his son's selection. So players like Jaggi miss out and flops like Srikanth's son make it. Who says nepotism is dying in India?
Midfielder Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 I am emerging too, I may not emerge enough but I do fit this loose definition. I should be selected too.
