Alchemist Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 because play us to improve you overall record against us. 20 years down the line, you might still be champions after champions in everything but if keep on ignoring pakistan then us pakis will always haunt you with stats. and i personally think, india shouldnt play pakistan yet. let the heat build up. another 3 years then. gap of 7 years is good for tests. What are you guys Haunt us with ??? The current pet peeve is "India does not have Phaast bowlers". Who cares ? Our bowlers get job done. Where as some Phaast bowlers are hit all over the park. Get real. Your team sucks as of now. And the problem for that mess is not BCCI. It is your own unloyal traitors. Add to that PCB who cannot stand their own decision to ban and punish players. As for personal opinion, I am against giving money to pakistan so that they can use it against India.
jairamesh Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Pakistan can still make enough revenue by selling the tv rights in their country. They should be thankful that we are at least playing against them IIRC, Pakistani TV broadcaster's have to buy TV rights from the oversea country's broadcaster. So no money from Pakistani TV company goes to PCB. The only way PCB can make money from TV rights is if they play in Pakistan or neutral venue. PCB need to get their act together, stop jumping on today's fashionable anti-BCCI bandwagon, sweet talk BCCI, arrange a Ind-Pak series on "neutral venue" (somewhere far from crooked world of UAE). England was the best option (esp. in terms of timezones and crowd). But knowing these PCB numtpies, they will find new method to embarrass themselves.
Dayman Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Hopefully something gets resolved soon and we can play a series with them. We need to take advantage of us being so much better than them right now by thumping them in a Test series.

cowboysfan Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 imo its too early to be playing them,it sends a wrong message to families of people killed by them in mumbai.
phaedrus Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 It's the best opportunity to completely destroy them in a series. :haha: exactly. i want us to play them and then humiliate them.
Sir_Afridi Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Love the lack of thinking. Let me spell it out. 1. Pakistan was suppose to host the next series. They would get 100% revenue. 2. India pulled out. 3. Pakistan proposed the series on neutral grounds. Again 100% revenue for Pakistam. 4. Inda declined. 5. Pakistan proposed they play the next series on India, but to make it fair, since India declined previous 2, that Pakistan should atleast get 50%. Especially since they missed out on 100%. 6. India declined. Its not rocket science folks. PCB gave India THREE choices. In Pakistan. Neutral.. In India, with 50%. Seems like the BCCI is just being greedy.
Midfielder Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 imo its too early to be playing them' date='it sends a wrong message to families of people killed by them in mumbai.[/quote'] Yes. A sensible post.

Is BCCI responsible for the security situation in your country ? Nobody is responsible for the mess in Pakistan other than Pakistan itself. Stop playing the victim card which you always love to do and stop blaming everyone else.

I think I have seen this somewhere else :hmmm: At least correct the spelling mistakes before posting copied work! :haha: This is dumb! 1. India will not visit Pakistan for the security reasons 2. BCCI does not want to play bi-lateral series at a neutral venue against any team. 3. India does not need to play Pakistan for any reason and would do better without it anyways 4. If India hosts a series, it will take the much deserved 100% revenue 5. India is not interested in revolutionizing Pakistan cricket by any means. Pakistan is on it's own so don't expect any special favors. Remember, we don't love our neighbors and would not want to support them. 6. It's stupid to request for a favor and then also demand to be paid for it. For example, you can't ask someone to give you a ride and also pay you for it. This is common sense, not rocket science

Zap_Brannigan Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Why are we even considering FTP. How many years have we had this? 10 years? When Aus and Eng were in power, we didn't have a FTP. The FTP was made to give come kinda balance to the lesser teams esp. when the Asian market was emerging. If it didn't, we wouldn't have a FTP. So FTP wasn't a favor to us. It is a favor to the other boards by us. We shouldn't be having any ties with pakistan whether it is trade or cricket. We are not powerful enough to go into the terrorist nation and get our osama. So we have to use economics to make them stop supporting terrorist. PCB can cry all they want but why the hell are they so dependent on the beggin bowl? All the talk of BCCI destroying PCB is just like a beggar blaming the people who dont donate for his failures.
saneindian Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 This reminds me of the argument put forward by Doordarshan for getting broadcasting rights of all Indian ODIs citing national interest. At the same time, they also wanted a 50-50 ad revenue share with the private broadcaster producing the feed. Kahe ka revenue share jab tumne apni athanni bhi nahi lagayi?

Jersey #10 Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 They are asking for 50-50 so that they can continue supporting the terrorists
