If weather did not interfere India would have taken this series 3-0. A good gutsy knock by Chanderpaul and F Edwards. The opponents showed good fight, appreciate that and move on. Bottom line, weather dictated the score line. Doesn't matter if it were Aussies of the past or WI from 1970s they would not have had control over the weather, full stop.

I mean, whats the harm in trying ? If we lost early wicket, we could have then decided to play out and draw the game, but it was worth trying under 6 an over.

No I meant, in the last 15 overs, we should have tried it at least for a couple of overs just to see if it works, if it doesn't and we lost an early wicket, then we could have stopped, but just shaking hands in a situation where we had a chance was unreasonable. May be you are right about the field placings and stuff and its ot an ODI Cricket. But giving a try was never going to harm us. Was it ?

That first ball Mukund wicket was the biggest setback today & put the team in the negative mode and couple of wickets fell later on..so M just played safe... these are the times when you miss Sehwag the most..and also like Ravi mentioned..rain screwed us pretty bad

When did rain screw us? With 8 wickets down we were in a very good situation. Don't blame on factors appearing in first 3 days. Rain didn't led to the draw. Edwards and Chanders batted for 35+ overs for 9th wicket. That and India's intention to draw was the reason for this result.

Intensity goes down, same thng happened in SA, even steyn and morkel were down for the 3rd Test. I agree we should have gone for it.
