Hell Raiser Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Not a century but IMO this is the best that he's ever batted (in Tests or ODIs).... :hail: The Master at its very best.:congrats::congrats::congrats:
Mariyam Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 His WC centuries have more weightage because of their importance. My fav Sachin centuries: 1)111 Against South Africa in WC 2011 2) 98 ( almost a century) against Pakistan in WC 2003
Desi Cartman Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 The one he scored againt zim 10-12 years ago in SaF. The posters who remember that knock and where we were in the series will know why it was special. Also the 2 he scored against Aussies in Sharjah were pure class

jairamesh Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 In ODIs 134 and 143, both vs Australia in back to back matches, had to win both games. Never saw the match live, but seen full match highlights, exhilarating stuff backed-up by some hyper commentary.
Guest Gunner Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 ODI - League match VS SL in the 1996 WC, he scored 131 I think. He just went beserk in th last 4 overs. Test Matches (two of them) - 148 at SCG in 1992 (Shastri got a boring 206) and 136 Vs Pakistan in 1999(that was a great innings against a masterly bowling attack).
Chandan Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Yes. All those that you've mentioned : the cape town tons, Perth, MCG, Sydney, Sharjah, Chennai... all those! But.. How could any of you forget Headingley 193 in 2002? I saw its replay/highlights yesterday on Starcricket. It was a superb inning. Then that 150+ in monkeygate test. That was also good when Sachin had got really emotional after hitting the ton. The Adelaide ton in the same series was good too. But the centuries in 90s had more aggression and few of really jawdropping shots. I was watching one of his tons against WI in an ODI, in God knows which series and one of his shots where he picked up the slower ball early, was really something like...phew..where did it come from..!!!
Jersey #10 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Test - 103* vs England (Chennai December 2008) ODI - 200*
Sooda Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Im going to cheat a bit and say my Fave Tendulkar ODI knock was a near ton- that 98 vs Pak at WC 03 vs Wasim, Waqar, Shaoib- match winning knock in a WC vs Pak...what more could you ask for

Actually all his tons have been a treat to watch. The 192 at Headingly was very good. the way he was hooking some short stuff reminded me Sachin of the early 90s. Also his brilliant 176 along with Laxman when the chips were down, was a herculean match saving ton at Eden. That 176 saw him making a mockery of a decent bowling attack. Pure genius :hatsoff:
Indian Pride Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 I love them all.. This is now officially my favourite thread. :two_thumbs_up:

Ultimate_Game Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 I would have picked his 136 against Pak in the Chennai test if India had won. That was an amazing innings on a helpful pitch aganst an attack consisting of Akram swinging the ball like a banana, Waqar and Saqlain at his best. The close loss where the tail fell in a heap after Tendulkar departed took the gloss off the innings.
Khalpat Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Everybody talks about the second inning of this match. One of the worst batting display by any team. But even in this match look at the first inning batting of maestro against Ambrose, Dillon, Bishop. New batsman can also learn how to play short pitch deliveries. Cricket Tragic Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Just for the stokeplay! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssLVAZ7IIcE]Sachin Tendulkar - 122 vs. England (1996) - YouTube[/ame]
Kumar Posted July 20, 2011 Author Posted July 20, 2011 Not a century , and not the best quality but still a gem of an innings WfXtkwv2WS8
