Am I blaming PK or am I not reading too much into his performances and suggesting that based on this performances (which is good) it is likely that he would play 2-3 more tests but if he doesn't perform than Ind would be missing out on 'flash in the pan' performances of the guy who could be sitting out because of him There is no blame here. Just another way to look at things. Unless you think guys like ishant or sree are not capable of picking up wks or PK would continue to deliver and become like Sir Richard Hadlee ..... This OP is still valid :winky: The opening bowlers for me would be the ones who have the ability to win a session for the team and pick 3-4 wkts. Zak did that in his opening spell. I did not see PK contribute much ( which is why this thread came up).

If it wasn't for Praveen Kumar England would have amassed 600 PLUS as India are down to 3 main bowlers with Bhajji and sharma(for all his pace) being wicketless band going at nearly 5 runs an over

Effects from the utter humiliation and humble pie that has been shoved down his neck in this thread. I certainly was wrong, the guy/girl/whatever does have some sense of shame indeed.

If you see PK vs Sree thread some of them were pitching for Sree. After the tour game, it become PK. Some were even discussing Sree's tummy as if he is their date :hysterical: Unless PK starts bowling like richard had lee, he is not going to be that consistent with his pace. You need to take 5 for 75 or something to make an impact. Many of the were of guys who had already scored 50 and when the 2nd new ball was taken. Positives for PK were that he bowled better than ishant and Bhajji, who are not even worth mentioning. Overall, Ind bowling perfo was disppointing. We needed someone to fire with zak in the first hour or so
