kabira Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I am highly p*$$ed at some of posters taking a dig at SRT. I say WTF, He has been prolific scorer for India in last 2 years along with Laxman. Dravid has been missing out. Dravid was total failure in Lanka and very average in SA. Din't we give him long rope. I am glad we did. If you are expecting someone to score runs all the time look elsewhere, its a cricket, and things can go wrong for anyone. Look at Cook, Australians could not get him out. But here he has not even reached double figures I believe. Mukund has made more than him You guys are big Morons. If you have to blame, blame Yuvi. He saw Dravid was struggling, He got satisfied with the 50 and must be thinking, boy what a innings I played and I belong to test cricket. He was in, looking good, all he had to do is see of the spells of broad and Anderson, mere 5 more overs. Its responsibility of those who get in to go and make a big one, unless you get a snorter or good delivery. Not everyone is going to make a start.
SachDan Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Isnt this thread supposed to be about Dhoni ? Anyway' date=' I have never seen Sachin fail four innings in a row. So a big one is due from the little man.[/quote'] Three..fourth one will be a match winning one :two_thumbs_up:
kabira Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Tendulkar should be ashamed first and foremost. India as a team should be ashamed too. I leave with score at 260/4 and come back to see 288 ao? What the feck. Seems like we intend to make Broad become the next Gary Sobers. Did you even watch broad ball. If you ball in good areas, you are going to get rewarded on this pitch. Why should tendulkar be ashamed?? I think you are getting old and should stop watching cricket, its getting really complex for you at this age.
Misu243 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I like how Padosis think India's bowling is the main cause of concern. That is the most pathetic statement I've seen about this test match. It is Indias famed BATTING LINEUP that has proven to be consistent...in failing during pressure situations. India's bowling is what will win us the Trent Bridge match..but just. SRT will have to step up in second innings to make sure we don't go past Raina because everyone after that are crap batsmen. SRT, VVS, and Dravid will have to anchor the innings and Raina, Yuvi, Mukund can support them.
Fontaine Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Look, Dhoni doesn't have great technique but c'mon let's get real here. There hasn't been a SINGLE opener including Cook/Strauss/Mukund/Gambhir that has done well against the new ball in swinging conditions. Why do we expect Dhoni to go any better in these conditions than dedicated openers? He's a limited test batsmen in these conditions but his other abilities behind the stumps and his leadership makes up for it.
suraj Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Leaving aside Dhoni- Indian team's persistence with Bhajji in the team even on seamer friendly pitches seems very strange almost as strange as our banner here

Blue Panther Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 First few comments abt dhoni in this thread was fiery. But the same posters now think that he is ok with his captaincy and keeping. Time is a great medicine.:hysterical:
flamy Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 One failure and you guys are back to your homogiri. Just 2 matches in the series and you guys got your panties in a twist. Just one innings and you guys are back to wrist slitting.
Yoda-esque Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 First few comments abt dhoni in this thread was fiery. But the same posters now think that he is ok with his captaincy and keeping. Time is a great medicine.:hysterical: True,Most people were just frustrated that he threw it away and immediately created a thread and wrote things in the heat of the moment.I guess everythings back to normal now.:winky:
wobblydoggy Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I think you are being a little harsh on Dhoni. Ok so he is not a great Test Batsman , so cannot catch either and is a sh*t bowler, but he is a good captain. I think you should keep him in for thev next two tests Pleaaaase:pray:
Sid Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I'm awaiting trademark comments like.. "One failure and you guys are......" "Just 2 matches in the series and you guys..." "Just one innings and you guys are..." One failure and you guys are back to your homogiri. Just 2 matches in the series and you guys got your panties in a twist. Just one innings and you guys are back to wrist slitting. Nice reply :cantstop: :two_thumbs_up:
wobblydoggy Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Nice reply :cantstop: :two_thumbs_up: It is the same in England
Aaku Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 One failure and you guys are back to your homogiri. Just 2 matches in the series and you guys got your panties in a twist. Just one innings and you guys are back to wrist slitting. :hysterical::hysterical: :icflove:

ensd2 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 MSD will come back strongly once the pitch become a flat track
Cricketics Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 More than Dhoni, I think some of the INdian posters actually should be ashamed for - Not having too much patience - For asking for Dhoni's head rite away - For not keeping cool and just talking trash as soon as the team or a player is down Chose your category whichever belongs to you. Thanks.

Not a very good strategic captain, sh*t against the new ball lately and against Zaheer Khan. But he is a good catcher! :cantstop:
Serani Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 I have been calling Dhoni out for years, he is an FTB and average WK and now you finally see it.
