You just cant give him width, In 2007 RP and Zak used Inswingers to a great affect against him. This time trying to bowl that Bowlers have drifted too much down the leg side. Spin can be an option too, But for that You need a Decent Spinner which we do not have ATM.

Matt Prior averages 45. Nuff said Come at him Dhoni, you 36 averaging rubbish glove work ftb. The thing with Matt Prior is that he scores more often than not when England are in trouble, check the second innings at Lords when we had just collapsed, check the 2nd innings at Trent Bidge when we lost a few wickets. Then also we have the fact he can take the game away from the opposition like he had done in the Ashes which meant england racked up them massive 600 + scores. And his keeping is pretty much spotless these days, cant remember when he last dropped a chance. Basically he is the best out there at the moment.

Prior? Most of the England's batsmen are more vulnerable to inswinger. Watch the dismissals in Eng-Pak matches. You would notice most of the Pakistani wickets went down on outswinger, while Asif and Amir got their wickets on inswinger. This is one reason why Indian bowlers have struggled. Remember on the first day, they were bowling lot of out-swinger and batsmen were playing easily. In Indian team, PK bowls outswinger and tries to bring the ball back in occasionally. But his speed is low. Other bowlers don't have ability to bring ball back in as surprise delivery. In fact most of the batsmen are used to out-swingers. They face such bowling regularly in county cricket. In the same way, they don't play leg-spin that much. So even if someone bowls decent leg-spin with little bit of turn he can be effective.

Yeah' date=' Siddle got him in Brisbane like that.[/quote'] Going by prior,s career so far he has been out bowled 6 times caught wk 5 times and lbw 2 times in 29 dismissals while he was under 20 in his inns.So best bet is to bowl a tight line and use the inswinger as a surprise as i feel he is rooted to the crease early
