Left-arm pacer Ashish Nehra has submitted his fitness certificate to the BCCI and has made himself available for selection for the upcoming one-off Twenty20 and five-match ODI series against England starting August 31. "Yes, I have submitted my fitness certificate for the upcoming T20 and ODI series in England," Nehra told PTI from Bangalore on Friday. Nehra who was in England a couple of weeks back is currently training at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. "I am 100 percent fit for the series and currently training in Bangalore," Nehra added. Nehra sustained a fracture during the World Cup semi-final at Mohali earlier this year and missed out on the entire Indian Premier League where he was scheduled to play for Sahara Pune Warriors. Although he had started bowling long back, he had indicated that he didn't want to rush his comeback until fully fit as he wasn't getting the required strength in his hand while batting.

Thanks but no thanks. We already have a certain Khan who gets injured after playing a single match. Two of those will be just too much.

I feel they better invest in a young pacer , Nehra is a good ODI bowler when he is fit , but still his fitness is always worrisome and causes problems for captain.

Indian fans have such a short memory. He was devastating against Paks in the SF. Could have played the final too if it wasnt for the injury.
Only post which deserves some attention in this thread. It's easy to say - Give chances to youngsters. But it hurts when you keep losing games after games. I would rather have Nehra play this series than any other player. We can rest guys like Sreesanth, who didn't do anything int he world cup.
