wobblydoggy Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Simple. Prepare few 'roads' and let our batsmen play on it. Oh, tamper with the pitches to win:giggle:
Cricket Tragic Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Simple. Prepare few 'roads' and let our batsmen play on it. Worst thing ever. All we will get is a few more 1-0 wins at home. What we need is some real turners.
Sachin=GOD Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Don't worry, we will be back as World no 1 within 8 months.
Sarkar Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 If ECB can prepare swing and seaming pitches India shud prepare spinner tracks well england cant play spin
Malcolm Merlyn Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I do not think we will 'fluke' a series win in India, I think we will grasp it and throttle it out of you. it might only be a 1-0 one, but we will win or at least draw DO you know how many test series India have lost at home in last 25 odd years? 2 tests........ Lost to SA in 1999........an attack led by Donald Pollock and company.... Lost to Aus in 2004-5 in a injury infested series......still battled to 2-1......and one test was washed out......with one day to go and India needing 200 odd with 10 wickets.... So your team got to be this good.........which they arent by a long shot..........you fast bowlers will do zilch in India........bookmark it........and no spinner is good enough to trouble India in India.....Warne and Murali couldnt do it......so if you think Swann will........well How your batsmen play spin remains to be seen.........remember the very best have come to India and struggled on turning pitches.....
SachDan Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Worst thing ever. All we will get is a few more 1-0 wins at home. What we need is some real turners. I'm talking about Indian roads, our experienced drivers won't have any troubles driving on those while foreigners will definitely struggle :winky:

Bring it on. I was told your Indian stars were going to thrash us, but it is you who are 3-0 down We will win I am sure I don't care what has gone before Even if you doctor the pitches to win, we will prosper

Trichromatic Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Worst thing ever. All we will get is a few more 1-0 wins at home. What we need is some real turners. Yeah, enough delusional arguments that we haven't lost at home in last years. We don't need to just avoid series loss. In last 16 matches we have won 9. It means we didn't win in 7 matches. Of course only 1 resulted in loss and rest were draw. But we need to convert those to 14-15 wins out of 20 from now on. Indian pitches have become too easy and they don't help spinners even on 5th day. Certainly this is not a good pitch even as a home team. Prepare some typical sub-continent type pitches and then see the results. It's the era where teams need to maintain complete dominance at home.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Bring it on. I was told your Indian stars were going to thrash us, but it is you who are 3-0 down We will win I am sure I don't care what has gone before Even if you doctor the pitches to win, we will prosper A trailer will be shown to you later this year...... Pitch Doctoring?????Wht do expect in India?Turners or Green grasslands?
akshayxyz Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Oh' date=' [b']tamper with the pitches to win:giggle: What about Lords? - which is eternally tampered? When every other cricket pitch in rest of the world is flat (leveled), why is it allowed to have slope? - in the name of home of cricket!!
urbestfriend Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 First thing BCCI should do: Give a million dollar IPL contract to Broad,Anderson,Tremlette and Bresnan and give them heavy workload in the IPL so that they'll get tired. After 2 years, English cricket will go down and India can again come up.
Trichromatic Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Lol, no one came even close to Australia for long time.
ravsdh Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 we dont need to worry SA will help us if they beat Aus and SL at home this winter, they go top
Pagalpanti Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 we dont need to worry SA will help us if they beat Aus and SL at home this winter, they go top Best thing for us would be, Pak beating England 2-0 in UAE (Kuch paane ke liye kuch kohna padta hai :(() and Aus drubbing SA 2-0. We'd automatically go to top :yay: but yeah unless we mess up against WI in 3 test.
Zero_Unit Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I think the question should be : how much matches do we need to play to rectify the short ball problem. We also need to groom new players for the futur
rkt.india Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Our fall is inevitable as and when Big three retires or they do not perform collectively like in this series. Be realistic, Aus tour will be tough for them unless young batsmen do not perform there is no hope we could stop this fall getting out of top four teams. It has to happen and it happened in one of the most awful ways in England. Four of our best test players are on the verge of retirement SRT, RD, VVS, ZAK and without them, we will never be what we were before this England series. Forget about no. 1, it will happen itself as Dhoni said if we do well consistently. First we need to see how to stay competitive after these retirements. By, England home series next year, we may not see them playing and England will almost be the same team which they are now. It is a real probability.
Rahul Dravid Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 If ECB can prepare swing and seaming pitches India shud prepare spinner tracks well england cant play spin true. but.. in the current england lineup i think... 1) Bell 2) Trott 3) Strauss 4) Prior ( to and extent ) can play spin pretty well.. and its not like we have the best spinners in the world... they have Swann. i dont think we can dominate england in india the way they dominated us in England.. thats just not going to happen.. id be more than happy to get a win, be it 1-0...
