Sir john Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 how much series/matches we have to win for become no.1 again.
flamy Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I have a feeling we will hover in the top 3 for the next couple of years. with everyone taking their turn at top of the tree.
Iconoclast Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Any road will do .. just get in the Delorian and accelerate to 88 mph .. make sure the flux capacitor is working :P
Robelinda Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Its still a lottery who wins overseas. England will obvious not thrash India in India. All the major teams struggle overseas, its how it is. I guess it might come down to who can be most dominant at home, and who can fluke overseas wins. Not many countries have managed to back up an overseas win with a 2nd overseas win in that country.
Sarkar Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Any road will do .. just get in the Delorian and accelerate to 88 mph .. make sure the flux capacitor is working :P U wud know about road to success because Pakistan has been consistently peforming :hysterical:

They have been better than England in their away matches, but their home record is worse. On the other hand India has a W/L ratio of 9 at home. This is one reason I say that India should start playing on result yielding tracks more often. Draws won't help. Prepare turners and thrash the opposition to ensure that they remain in the hunt.
IKnowU Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Australia was able to dominate because they never ever never ever ever took their foot of the throat of the opposition. They annihilated every opposition and played every game like their last. Thats the only difference from the current top teams atm.
Ultimate_Game Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 The key will be the Aus series later this year and Eng home series whenever that is. If India beats Aus in Aus, they would have done what ENg did, and if they beat Eng at home, which they should easily, we are there.
Number Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 More than no.1 ranking its about restoring confidence and belief , they are not even willing to be there it seems , their body language is completely different. Once we start playing good cricket with confidence then as Dhoni says "rankings will take care of themselves".
Sir john Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 too much crap talking by all newspapers.:wall:

If India beat Aus comprehensively in Aus, and beat England at home, India have all right to reclaim the number 1 throne, and will probably be ranked up there too.

SachDan Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Simple. Prepare few 'roads' and let our batsmen play on it.
