Number Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 He is eating chicken sandwich and cheeseburgers whole day, OK for him to do that but he should at least stop our players from doing that.
varun Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 If India bats: India 220 a.o' date= England 20/1 :hmmm:

ganeshran Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Typical reaction. Why blame your coach if the players are not playing well? can someone explain what is the fault of the coach in the first 2 matches?
Guest Gunner Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I can haz fail. :(( Yes you haz. :finger::finger:

Params7 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Typical reaction. Why blame your coach if the players are not playing well? can someone explain what is the fault of the coach in the first 2 matches? That. There's no way a coach can have an impact on the team so suddenly.
Sooda Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 Yes you haz. :finger::finger: Look, me and a billion watching Indians ok. :P
The Realist Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Wrong move to appoint him. Very short term. Would have been better to get somebody younger and from the domestic scene. He has no vested interest in the future of Indian cricket, only here on a 2 year contract and will collect his cheque and then retire. And enough of this hiring a coach as a friend nonsense as some sacred cows will have to be axed – need somebody with courage and vision as India have to rebuild for the future.
amiret Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 It is unlikely any Team ranked #1 in the world has ever been thrashed 3-0 in a Test series. Of course it is another matter we never deserved the top spot in the first place. when players like Dravid , VVS retire i think we could languish in the rankings for another 10 years. It will be like the 90's all over again.

It will be like the 90's all over again. In 90s atleast we had one or two class batsmen in the middle order. We will be left with Gambhir and Viru. Teams will just rip through our batting once they break the defense at the top.

anotherhawkeye Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 The last time we were massacred 3-0, was in the 3 test series in Australia in 1999 12 years ago. If we lose by a margin of 4-0 we have to go back to the India / Australia 5 test match Test Series, 1991/92 just before the 1992 World Cup , almost 20 years ago. Even that is not white wash. When was the last time we were white washed? 70s?

Karan114 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Even that is not white wash. When was the last time we were white washed? 70s? Yeah, probably the 70s...might even have been England in 1974. With Zak out, the bowling was always going to struggle. But what has been shocking is how bad the batting has been. Even the Lankans made 400+ twice when they toured earlier this year. The complete failure of the batting has brought on this 4-0 humiliation
amiret Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Even that is not white wash. When was the last time we were white washed? 70s? we lost 3 out of 3 in 1999. so that was a whitewash.
anotherhawkeye Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Oh well, expected performance from the team. They should be firing on all cylinders, but they just play without any emotion. As fans, we just have to ride out the storm and wait for better times. :((
akshayxyz Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 If coaches do not (not supposed to) make any difference - then why need one? that too with so heavy pay-cheque. I am not blaming him solely, but surely among many other factors, he also does not seem to be doing anything useful.
