Which series/tourneys have highest priority for you guys?

Most of the time it doesn't matter what's the situation to both teams. I would give it priority as long as they don't play too much cricket within short span of time. Remember last time when cricket ties resumed, suddenly we saw too many Ind-Pak matches. That kills the fun and decreases the value of matches between two teams.

Who are these fans? The average Indian or about a dozen people here? You make a blanket statement which is not really supported by any facts.

Both teams were playing each other too often for their own good. There came a point where I stopped caring about the result.

Yes. If the World Cup was not in the sub-continent and we still won, then i dont know. I'm not degrading the WC or anything, its just for me Test Cricket comes above all.

WC is a tourney and it doesn't really matter where it was held. Plus this was the first time a home team actually won the cup. Not even Aus has done it.

Precisely. Times have changed. As far as I can see India is going the American way, people have the same sort of attention spans, attitude etc. IF test match cricket dies in India, it is pretty much the death knell for test matches anywhere else since it is commercially unsustainable. It will go the same way as curling, polo etc.

I dont agree, there will always be an audiance for the Ashes series here and we also like playing you guys, West Indies and SA. Lords will always fill for tests. I am grateful to ODI's and t20 for raising scoring rates and for refocusing batsmen upon the difference of technique required to play either type. Lets face it Indians would watch your team play martians with six legs:--D

1. The others put together are not sufficient to sustain test cricket without India. Simple fact of life. We are the centre of the cricket world. 2. Indians will watch anyone playing India however the young people like the slap bang T20 games. The average age of the country is 26 and they like to do other things with their time. So you see where I am going with this. :winky:
