Abbe, toh khud se baat kar na.. open forum mein discussion thread kyun open kiya? P.S: No 'Pukarta Chala Hoon Main' from Mere Sanam in any Rafi list, and no songs from the Rafi-Asha Bhosle-OP Nayyar collection = FAIL.

This is a bit of a fail if you cannot( probably forgot or didnt include them because most are duets ) to include songs from Aandhi , Aaradhana, Julie and ofcourse the "Khaike Paan Banaras wala " Tum Aagaye Ho Tere Bina Zindagi se koyi shikwa Dil Kya kare Bhool Gaya Sab kuch Hum Dono ddo premi duniya chodh chaley Mere Sapano ki rani kab aayegi tu Those 6 are the very best of Kishore IMO and I can listen to them over and over again ... The 2 songs from Aandhi are perhaps the best piece of poetry every written.
Ah the soft side of BheemBhai..brought to fare when discussing Hindi music..we need to do such threads more often just to get you into that mood :--D That being said, any list of top 20 songs should EXCLUDE the combination of KK-RDB-Gulzar. These three gents have weaved so many freaking out of the world experience that it would be futile to compare them against most songs, and I dont mean disrespect to any performer. RDB's music would be as at home doing a Pahari song, as it would be on a Manjhi song to a soft lilting Lori. Gulzar, well he is Gulzar every song of his should have a thesis done on it, and Kishore was quite easily the most complete, natural versatile, prolific you name it capable of rendering O Manjhi re as easily as Om Shanti Om. Sir John ji no need to get gussa on me now although this is all :offtopic:

Well said Lurk. Often people forget to give due credit to him. The way he has given quality lyrics year after year is unbelievable.
