Eureka!! Trundler is one who is short and bowl 130k , but he is not a trundle if he is tall and bowl 130K.:cantstop: Now they should start displaying height also along with speed guns.
He was talking abt mcgrath and pollock. mcgrath and pollock would never be considered as trundlers. They used to bowl pretty quick when they were young and they were still bowling at 130+ even at the age of 30s. That is why we want bowlers who bowl at pace when they are young and they will be able to bowl at 130+ even after the age of 30+.

at the start of his career Vaas was quite quick' date=' he became trundler later, but need to see what kind of skills he had to still bowl well lafter slowing down. and Kapil looked fast between 135-140 in 1982. I watched his bowling video against england in 1982 and he took 5 wickets then. Even Roger Binny and madan lal were 80-85 mph according to ravi shashtri which i heard of him in commentary yesterday.[/quote'] Most bowlers were fast when they started out but maybe thier bodies couldnt take the burden.also in most cases injuriies can slow you down.JACOB ORAM is the best example.

Any idea how fast Pandian dharma is?Heard a bit about him.
saw his bowling video on youtube, one day domestic match, not quick, but can out swing the ball like a leg spinner, work needs to be done on his bowling action. he is in MRF, so i hope they correct his action.

How do you know Dont just makeup something on the air. Anyway my point is fast bowling is a craft, so a good bowler is a good bowler. Craft could be one or more of swing/seam. speed, bounce, control/accuracy, variation and ability to setup the batsmen. So if the definition of a trundle is just based on speed, I have no qualms. But if you folks just making up the definition as you like, I'm going to call it.:icflove:
Man, you seem to have little knowledge if you dont know Vaas was a 140 bowler in his intial years. And go read a little bit on Kapil and then you will know if I am making things up or your cricketing knowledge needs a little touch up..

Who watched this series would understand why you need to have 1 fast bowler in the team. Notice the batting of England. All batsmen planted their front foot every time and played the bowlers easily. A fast bowler won't bowl worse than what Sree and RP did today. But at least he can send the batsman on backfoot with fast short-pitched stuff which can help bowlers like PK and Ishant. Wasim Akram told a lot about bowling in this series and he gave so many details which I never heard about Indian bowlers. He mentioned one instance when pitch was flat and they (2 Ws) bowled short-pitched stuff for 2 hours. He said they had pace to do so. Indian bowlers won't be able to trouble batsman like that.

Well thats what Ishanth is there for right? But he is 'giving his 100 percent' as dhoni would say.Maybe he could bowl a little quickerBut agree completely on Wasim.Sucjh a great bowler.I think the PCB is nuts to leave him out of the management. We must use this opportunity and make him our bowling coach.Wasim for bowling coach, any takers?

IMO in last decade we picked players who came from upper middle class' date=' they are mommy daddy kids, whereas [b']Varun Aaron is raw, comes from very poor background, he hails from tribal areas if I recall correctly. Now that is huge advantage, He must have faced lotsa tough situations in his life, such player has huge motivation. Amir/Asif are from poorest possible background, they were natural, there was nothing coaching etc. Same is case with our Aaron, hopefully our domestic coaches dont destroy him. We had Munaf Patel from such background (Mind you he was fastest bowler in domestic cricket, we ruined him, even if he hadnt dropped pace still I doubt his effectiveness cuz his bowling action is such).
Hehehehe !!!! :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: Varun Aaron's adopted motherland is Jharkhand. He is not a jharkhandi. And hence , not a tribal. He is a Kannadiga, and one of my friend's cousin. His dad moved to Jharkhand long back. I think he works for Tata in Jamshedpur. Which means he must be from a well off family. But just the fact a fast bowler coming from Jharkhand/Bihar is enough to say that he must have faced a lot of tough situations. I know of one more express bowler from Bihar who never got recognized but the fastest bowler who I have ever seen bowling. Not that I am a celebrity that my words will be taken seriously but even then...And mind you, I have seen a lot of international bowlers bowling.
:fear: How did he guess that he is from poor background?

Because he is from Jharkand :--D People from Jharkand are tribals :--D And tribals are poor :--D BTW, aren't you from Jharkand? Poor vibhu :icflove:

Not only he knows Indian bowlers very bowlers, but he has very good idea of what they should do and areas of improvement. Somehow he sees a good bowler in everyone. I think it would be good if he becomes bowling coach of India.

even batting and spin bowling are craft. you are right whichever you said, i said the same thing. fast bowling is not only about pace.you need to have skills too, but if a bowler with pace has skills, he is double dangerous like, steyn, donald, waqar, marshall, few examples. and most successful teams in world cricket had genuine fast bowlers as well who helped sustain them their supremacy for long. fast bowling a simple art than spin but is tough to execute. consistency is the key for any fast bowler whether is fast or medium fast, whether he has any skills or not, consistent bowling in corridor always creates problems and if you can have good seam position then bowl will nibble around. we do not have any bowler except munaf who is consistent in corridor, but he doesnt have good seam position to swing or seam it. having said that I am still a fan of genuine fast bowling and would pay to see bowlers like steyn, Lee, Donald, Akhtar, waqar, morkel, tait bowling in tandem in full flow.

Probably he guessed so because of his looks. Typical image of tribals in minds of other Indians. But poor? How did guess that he is poor? :cantstop: Yeah, I'm live in Ranchi. I'm neither tribal nor poor. This is good example of stereotyping. I haven't faced tough times and waste time on ICF. :P Btw, Varun Aaron has studied in very good schools and he was classmate of some of my college friends.

That indeed is derogatory. Sounds a little racist.
