Speechless. Never felt like this before...although I expected them to lose today, was pleasantly surprised that they went wicket less in first session.. Well Lets see if they can come back strongly. Key thing is that this should be one off hopefully where things just did not go right, injuries, lack of form, etc.. Someone has to have a vision again..like they had to win the WC
Its good we lost 4-0.Gets rid of the dead wood. Hoping to see some fresh talent break in now.

Died doesn't mean.. literally. Figuratively it died. It is not like we are going to stop playing cricket. They treated us like we treat a team like Namibia in Test matches. We played like an associate side.

4-0 was way back in 1992.. we managed to draw one test. In one test we might have even won but for umpires. We lost by 38 runs at Adelaide i think.
That series was just as bad, sheer impotence with batting and pathetic bowling. I think that was our worst beating in the last 20 years before this one.

This one is worse! we were beaten by an innings + runs twice.

Things will be back to normal once they get to play on flat pitches in India, there will be draws draws and more draws, coz we don't even have a half decent spinner now. Last 2 months have been really tough for an Indian fan, first they threw away a test win in WI without even trying and now the worst humiliation I have witnessed. :(( :((

Who's going to mock you if you wear Indian jersey in India? Not that a certain section of country is covered by Brits or Pak.

It's not the death of Indian cricket by any means. But hopefully it'll be the death of idiotic selection policy that gave us unfit Sree/RP/Zaheer/Sehwag and clown like scheduling with zero preperation.

And Indian cricket ain't DEAD...Ajinkya Rahane, Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Abhinav Mukund will provide firepower to our batting line up. It's time for some major changes to be made and implementation of strict policies with IPL as well..

I am just saying I can't be so negative that I say that Indian cricket has died rite away. Yes, as a follower of Indian cricket, this is the worst defeat I have ever seen. I would be lying if I say I saw India lose badly in 80s also sometime in tests on overseas tour. Because I wasn't born back then or was too young. Just cant image a top test team not able to pick their performance back to normal or atleast close to it.

This is the worst series loss in my life. IN '99 in Aus we lost 3-0 but we were underdogs and never expected to win anything. But I have never seen such a spineless performance in my life. I anticipated India would lose this series because England were a much better team but i never imagined it would be such a comprehensive thrashing. At least all this nonsense about India being #1 will die down until we actually win a series in Aus or SA. We only need to remember one Stat about this series , our bowlers have bowled some of the worst bowling spells of the last decade in this series.
