Are you sure about that? Indian bowling comes nowhere near Australian bowling. Batting might be better, but batsman are not in form for many months. I believe India will struggle against Australia. They whitewashed Pakistan whose bowling was very good. In India they were 1 wicket away from drawing the series. Most of the Indian fans are not rating Australia because they lost 3 matches by innings to England. But England was too good for them and Australia is still dominant at home. On the other hand India is not dominant at home and average outside India.
Our batting is the Best in the World for all conditions. Its just in this series that they have struggled. Anyways this wasn't our best XI, so you cannot really say that we are ordinary. A fully fit and rearing opening pair can just set the stage for the big guns to follow. That was not the case this time and hence we struggled. I am sure we will do well in Australia as most of our players now will take it far more seriously, will practice and train harder, will try and stay fit for long. This 4-0 has suddenly awakened the real Cricketer in every player. I know I am sounding a little off radar here, but this is what should happen - One must learn from the mistakes rather than getting annoyed after making it.

What you mean the batting has struggled for months?? We've had many injuries to our players, who've been in and out of the side, a few are out of touch and some of the players were not cut out for English conditions. Chances are Australia will try and create similar conditions, but they won't be the same, we've had success in Australia before unlike other sides. BCCI needs a clear cut plan. - Players should at all time of the year be required to be fit to a certain level. What the hell was RP Singh doing off-season?? Taking a break and get back in shape in time for the IPL? - We need to find out which players want to play Test cricket and which ones are happy with just IPL and then separate them. - Find players who have the talent, determination, hunger to better themselves. Invest heavily in these guys, over time they will come good. - Need to understand conditions around the world are different, players need to be given time to acclimatise to the conditions, not just with tour games, but by allowing players to play oversea's - Do away with unnecessary games, allow players off time instead of cramming in worthless ODIs to go free their minds. Mental fatigue has definitely more than just crept in.

BCCI would never do all that, all they care abt is "money"

indbattingstruggle.jpg I meant this. Most of our batsmen were on the downward slope during last 1 year. Like I said in some other posts, Sachin's batting overshadows all failures.

We had success in England before this series as well. G92, What about the bowling?
Bowling depends largely on Zak, if he is out due to an injury, we soon need to find a replacement. i know we can't literally replace him but we definitely lack a good wicket taking bowler :((

And he is not going to play any cricket until the start of the Australian tour. Again, we will be taking a risk if we play him.

Going overboard are we?
Since the 2011 WC, we have lost 4-0 to Eng, 4-0 to Aus, 2-1 to Eng (at Home), 1-0 to SA and now are on course to lose against NZ 1-0 if we are lucky (otherwise a whitewash here as well). The last overseas Test we won was against Windies in 2011. Apart from that one Test series against Aus, we have only won series' against NZ (at Home) and Windies in this period.

Yup.. i usually dont get frustrated this easily.. but this one takes a bakery for sure.. 300 run partnership to not well recognized batsmen when they were at the brinks of defeat..
