For the default pattern unlock app (with 9 dots, minimum allowed 4), theoretically speaking, the number of possible combinations are about an order of magnitude less than #of possible pins with, lets say 4 digits. Besides, drawing pattern leaves finger traces on the screen - which are easily visible. But the main reason for pattern unlock is convenience in using and memorizing - humans are better at remembering patterns than random digits. And no pin/pattern is safe in hands of skillful hacker. There are ways to access the phone data w/o even requiring to enter pin/pattern. Exactly, You dont even have to do any math to figure out that the pin-lock is definitely more secure than the pattern lock, besides the obvious fact that it leaves behind a clear trace on the screen.
Ram Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Tried out the Samsung Galaxy S2 at the AT&T store after vacillating between it and iPhone 4S (primarily based on ICF reviews). My opinion - it sucks! Going with 4S next month. I dont know about the 4s, but compared to the S2 skyrocket, iPhone 4 feels like a concrete brick in the hand (it is waaaaaay heavier). However, the iphone does fit smugly in the hand, compared to the S2 skyrocket which is a bit unwieldy, I have to admit.

ItÃÔ basically a much higher resolution version of the screen that came with the Galaxy S and not the one that comes with the Galaxy S II. The difference between the Nexus display and the Galaxy S IIÃÔ is that the Nexus displayÃÔ subpixels are laid out in a pentile matrix. IÃ×e already explained and photographed a couple of pentile displays up close. Read more about them in here. Pentile displays are supposed to use less power but they tend to be less sharp than regular displays with the same resolution. If you look at the technologies, there is no doubt that the pentile display was a super failure. They had actually solved the issue with Super amoled PLUS, but i guess they couldnt make enough super amoled plus screens in HD, so they went ahead and snapped the pentile on the nexus.

Part of Apple's reason for not using flash could have been motivated by Steve's personal grudge against Adobe.. Which he, perhaps, later justified with technical stuff. As for other people, people knew it is not going to be there for long, but guess no one foresaw it would happen so soon.

Anybody has views how to be safe with ANdriod?[/quote'] Well, having used both IOS4 and Android, I can safely say iOS is definitely more stable. For example, my S2's screen occasionally freezes. Pressing the 'back' or 'home' button sometimes gives no response whatsoever. You have to wait for 8-10 secs before the system recovers. That NEVER happened in the 3.5 years that I used the iPhone.

I have iphone, so wanted to make a switch to the andriod world. So S2 seems best fit. Only worried about stabilty issues. But looks like for the cost it's a pretty good bargain.
