Suresh Raina is class

Class? :hysterical: Based on T20 :giggle: Even for Rahane - I suggest folks wait till we see him in Test before we go "ooh Rahane class, aaah Rahane", or Raina for that matter. Raina already exposed in Tests. I do think Ajink Rah will do better in Tests, but still wait and watch for now. He seems to have shown good technique in domestic matches and A-tours.

Abhinav Mukund and Ajinkya Rahane should open the innings until Sehwag and Gambhir are fully fit.

Hopefully Raina will come good in these ODIs and will prove his importance. No matter how much we criticize him , a player with that mental strength and enthusiasm is always an asset for his side.

As much as people hate an indian who can't handle the short ball, I for one admire Raina. He always gives his best regardless of what any one says, great hitter of the ball, fields well and as well quite a happy chap on the field which you won't get from some indians. Still doesn't mean he's not a bad test player. I remember a few years ago, around 2008 where people were complaining about Yuvraj and his test from, Raina similar calibre, and being a good age he can only develop. No one said this series was going to be easy for him, but he's pushed on, and at time has given 110% (whether that implies failure or success, it doesn't matter he's still growing and can only improve at his good age)

Raina should give up test imo. No harm in being a OD specialist. We are better off without him in tests, the way he whacked Broad for 6 of the short ball was nice to see.

I thought the shot he played to get out was really poor given the situation. Dhoni and Ashwin had just got out, he was the main man with 12 balls to go knowing that the remaining few batsmen could get out within a few balls. A seasoned IPL pro should have milked the 19th over and then attempted the big hits in the final over. Probably cost us the match.
