the fact that snicko had a nick showing is irrelevant. he didnt have that available to him when he made the decision.
This. We need a standardized set of rules. How the **** can the 3rd umpire could change that decision is beyond belief. The **** needs to understand what his role is

Idiot' date=' 3rd umpire can't go by his gut feeling when he's overturning an on field decision, he needs to have solid evidence.[/quote'] No ,there aren't any rule saying he cannot use his gut feeling . It's a gray area .

It wasn't bad decision ' date='3rd umpire went with his[b'] gut feeling and he was right .Technology is there to help him at the same time he can use his brain too .Otherwise there is no point having a human to make that decision .
Might be his privates, ala Danda. you'll never know.:--D And from when did 'feelings' started to be a part of DRS??Can he provide evidence for his 'feelings'? No? Then on-field umpires decision stays. Simple.

You cannot overturn decisons on gut. Instinct, snicko is not used as it is inaccurate.you need clear evidence to overturn.erasmus has messed it.

Blondie reviewed the decision. Enough evidence for third umpire to give it out. Also, the umpire relied on the speed at which Dravid turned his neck to look if wktkeeper caught the ball. Enough evidence.

No' date=' it is not used because it takes time.[/quote'] No it not only takes time but picks up all noises around the stump its hard to differentiate noises

No' date=' it is not used because it takes time.[/quote'] And its unreliable. Dileep Premachandran just tweeted about ICC members don't have faith in the snicko system - most unreliable of the lot

That it is but it would have been used along with HS if it wasn't for the time factor.
