Yoda-esque Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 JWM is such an overrated film.SNT was better .
Mariyam Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 JWM is such an overrated film.SNT was better . How could you say that? Its one of my fav movies..... Who over rated it?. Its almost a cult movie. After the movie the muffler style i.e wearing a dark long muffler on a light coloured shirt became very common among the guys. The short sleeveless kurti + skinny jeans & pyjamas + t shirt combination became common among the girls. The music was adorable. The storyline was simple, yet forceful. I don't see anything in that movie that is not likable.
Yoda-esque Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 ^I don't know.I shut it off after the first 25 mins..Maybe it was Kareina's hamming that put me off :dontknow:
DomainK Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 ^I don't know.I shut it off after the first 25 mins..Maybe it was Kareina's hamming that put me off :dontknow: It was easily Bebo's best performance ever.
nikred Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 ^I don't know.I shut it off after the first 25 mins..Maybe it was Kareina's hamming that put me off :dontknow: she was at her annoying best in that movie.
Yoda-esque Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 It was easily Bebo's best performance ever. Perhaps..I don't know anything about films then :((
Mariyam Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 It was easily Bebo's best performance ever. Exactly. And the first 25 mins were very fast paced and happening. But you know what, its a guy thing to diss JWB even though they may have liked it. I know many such guys who trash talked the movie just to appear 'non senti/ macho' . :P I'm calling Yoda-esque's bluff here. I'm sure he watched the entire movie and enjoyed it. :P
WC2011INDIA Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 The movie is receiving mixed response from the general audience. Will be hard to recover its budget and all. I see it being an average-above average at boxoffice. Apparenty, the title "Rockstar" is misleading. The 2nd half drags on and the climax may or may not be liked.

WC2011INDIA Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 JWM is a good movie. But SNT is better.
gaurav92 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 SNT is highly underrated(probably because of the star cast - new faces then) while JWM is the total opposite.
Mariyam Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 SNT is highly underrated(probably because of the star cast - new faces then) while JWM is the total opposite. JWM is lowly overrated?
gaurav92 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 ^:cantstop: JWM is an okish movie. I didn't find anything in it to write home about, same goes for Love Aaj Kal. Jab We Met had a rustic feel to it which I loved, and I think thats the case with all of his (Imtiaz) movies. But the plot was pretty mediocre IMO. P.S - JWM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LAK Rockstar was probably the worst of the lot. Many of my friends are ardent fans of JWM, but its how you like it that matters more than anything else. So even though I am in the minority, I don't feel bad about it. Having said that, one thing that has been the hallmark of Imtiaz Ali's movies are the music and songs. All have been awesome :two_thumbs_up:
