asterix Posted September 7, 2011 Author Posted September 7, 2011 Whats the point of having different captains? Lets face it, MSD is the best captain we have now. Arguably the best captain we ever had. It makes more sense to have 3 different teams for the different formats. Players who feature in more than one format should have more 'stringent' fitness training/ conditioning. Our disastrous performance this series is because of the following reasons (in order): 1) Pathetic bowling 2) Injuries 3) English are good 4) Batting also not upto the mark. 5) Captaincy. We should fix the first 4 before we try and fix the 5th. To fix #3 only one option.. Julaab or Jamalghota.. #1 Who selects pathetic bowlers in the team? #2 Thanks to that, I must say. Otherwise we would've never seen players like Ajinkya Rahane in the team..
TheYuvi02 Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 good idea, if he wasnt the captain ideally dhoni wouldnt get a place in the test team
Andy Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I would still back MSD the leader, but selectors need to get strict. They should stop selecting players like Jadeja and Vinay Kumar. Dhoni should improve his cricket in Test matches.
rkt.india Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Whats the point of having different captains, when we have more or less the same side for the 3 formats? Lets face it, MSD is the best captain we have now. Arguably the best captain we ever had. It makes more sense to have 3 different teams for the different formats. Players who feature in more than one format should have more 'stringent' fitness training/ conditioning. No test team is very different to ODI team barring few players, while we need to have a specialist T20 team rather than playing same players both in ODIs and T20, a few players can be common but not all. ODIs and Test teams can be similar but not T20 team. T20 is different format than ODI and test.
Sidhoni Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Is this a serious post? Do u think so :D I do wanna say hw good a captain he has been in the IPL, but that post was meant to be sarcastic
Sidhoni Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 But still, he also won the inaugural T20 WC, and he has been an excellent captain in the IPL too, yes he has a much better team there and ppl here dont quite consider that as cricket, but still he has been fantastic
Sarkar Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Dhoni is a good kaptaan dont sack him sack the coach
Cricket Tragic Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 If the teacher doesnt teach the student well its not the student' date='s fault like wise if players dont perform then its coach,s fault how can our team go in drain after such a high note in world cup i say dont sack the captain sack the coach.[/quote'] :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
