I feel sorry for the host of stars who could not display thgeir talents to the test match watching audience due to whatever reasons- mainly players who's national sides were strong so they could not get in, when they would have got in to any other test side of that era. Several fine Aussie batsmen- Jamie Cox, Jimmy Maher, Martin Love, Hodge, Stuart Law, Jamie Siddons of the 90's and noughties Aus sides. Potentially great WI pacemen like Wayne Daniels, Sylvester Clarke, and Franklyn Stephenson who due to the great bowling side that they were in the 80's did not play as much cricket as their talent deserved. Indian spinners of the 60's and 70's like Rajinder Goel, Padmakar Shivalkar and V V Kumar Similarly apartheid ear Saffies- BArry Richards, Vince van der Bijl, Graeme Pollock (more than most, though he did play 20 or so tests), Mike Proctor...

Fanie De villiers was a good ODI bowler and played some good number of ODIs.. I don't think DeVillier's careers is cut short by injuries in a way that one had to feel sorry..In that respect, I feel pity fo Mohammed Zahid of Paksitan and Simon Jones of England or even Freddie Flintoff of England. Ben Hollioke was a never an intl material.. In that aspect, Anyone remember Druv Pandove?.. He was having a great career and was run over by a train. Also, feeling pity for Yuvraj, who had to play test cricket in the era of our great 4.
