BeautifulGame
After playing close to 100 matches' date=' this is his first contribution by bat in a match where we didn't loose just tied. YPathan wud have had way more match winning innings than him if he played 100 matches and had Dhonis back. But ya, kudos to Jadeja to finally show something[/quote'] Did you even watch the 2011 world cup? Yusuf pathan nearly screwed our WC triumph :cantstop: Link to comment
The Outsider
Wow! Dropped 2-3 times, not given out when out, flukes his way to some runs after years of fail, and manages to get a tie, not a win mind you, and is being hyped up as the second coming of Kapil Dev. Link to comment

mancalledsting
Did you even watch the 2011 world cup? Yusuf pathan nearly screwed our WC triumph :cantstop: He only played group matches. Came in late in the innings against Bangladesh, Ireland, and England asked to slog from ball one (despite all his best performances coming after he has had a chance to bat himself in- like most other of the worlds batsmen). Was not used effectively by India despite showing earlier that season that he could single handedly win matches home or away against RSA and NZ. yes he looks ungainly against the short ball- but unlike Raina he is brave and is not scared of it and most importantly is willing to take blows on the body and be bruised for sake of not giving a catching chance whereas Raina cowers to protects himself. Also what about his bowling over last couple of years, wortyhj of place in team in itself. You have conviently air brushed out talking about his bowling! No one said he is second coming of Dev. More second coming of Sobers! Link to comment

Thats the job of no.7 bat .What do you expect to be promoted ahead of Yuvi Dhoni Kohli or Gambhir? If as a no.7 cant score quickly from the start then no point having in the team. We even tried to promote him up the order against SA and he responded with a majestic duck :giggle: .Compare that with performances of Jadeja in CT13 against SA and England in final.Or the performances of Raina against Pak in SF and Aus in QF at no.7 . And Its not even worth comparing Raina and Yusuf.Raina may struggle against bouncers outside subcontinent but atleast in sub continent he is one of the best .Yusuf is useless everywhere.Even more embarrassing against bouncers.Vinay Kumar bounced him out in IPL :hysterical: And as AR maybe you should compare the bowling performances of Yusuf and Jadeja as well. mancalledsting
LOL! How many impactful innings has he played in his career? I'm more interested in how many insignificant not outs he's played to maintain an average of 30.in 90 odd Odis, I can only recall 3 useful innings. Would be a good bat if could handle short ball better. But then again, so would Raina. Link to comment
